This article contains spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen and Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo.
Jujutsu Kaisen's the original manga ended in 2024, but it made a grand return with a sequel series known as Jujutsu Kaisen Modulojust a few months ago. JJK Modulo set in the same world by the same author, Gege Akutami, but with a different artist. While JJK Modulo is still relatively new as a manga series and still only has 7 chapters under its belt, it has already given fans some absolutely huge revelations.
Most interestingly, the latest Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo chapter, that is, JJK Modulo Chapter 7, has confirmed the return of JJK's most iconic villain, Mahito. Mahito was absorbed after the events in Shibuya and is believed to be dead, but for now it seems he is still stuck in limbo, with an imminent return. Mahito may be the first of many enemies to make a return in JJK Modulo, and others include the likes of Ryomen Sukuna.

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is already gaining momentum as the sequel to JJK. Set 68 years after the last battle against Sukuna, JJK Modulo focuses on brand new characters, they are the grandchildren of Maki and Yuta, namely Tsurugi and Yuka Okkotsu.

Although not many characters from the old era have appeared yet, fans know that Gege is finally bringing back some iconic characters. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 7 was recently released and showcases a massive revelation. Against all odds, Mahito is back in history.
Tsurugi, while knocked out after the battle, was clearly dreaming about Mahito. Mahito still seems to be somewhere between life and deathbut his reincarnation and return to history is still a possibility. In the same dream, Mahito mentions that someone is “not him”. In other words, Mahito seems to be looking for someone, and that someone is probably none other than Yuji, a character fans have already seen in a quick flashback in Modulo.
Mahito's words seem to mark not only his official return but also The return of Yuji Itadori. At the same time, it also confirms that Yuji Itadori is still alive. A big revenge can be expected for these two characters.

Although no one really knows anything for sure at the moment, it is possible that Gege will bring back Sukunain one way or another. Sukuna's dying wish was to take a different path in life if given another chance, and Modulo would be the perfect place for this to happen. Sukuna could also be reincarnatedor anything to do with his last finger could be revealed. Anyway, fans will just have to keep reading Modulo and see what Gege has in store.
“This became the spark that gave rise to 'Mojuro', which initially didn't even have a single concrete idea, and after many planning meetings, it finally came to life. This will be a short-term serialization, about six months, collected in about 3 volumes.” — Gege Akutami
