Xbox owners can get a free game that can provide simple achievements worth over 3,000 G. For Xbox and PC gamers who pride themselves on high gamerscores, this is an easy opportunity to earn points.
On November 25, the Xbox received a new game in the form of Card Storm Idlea free-to-play card game that “blends passive progression with active strategy.” The game has been available on Steam since 2023, but this is the first time it has come to the Xbox family of consoles and been made available through Microsoft's PC Game Store. While the achievements can be earned almost on autopilot, the process is a bit convoluted.

New free game nets up to 3000G in easy achievements
To earn 3,000 G in achievements, players must access three different versions of Card Storm Idle. By default, the title has 1,000G in achievements to earn, but players can stack these points across the Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC versions of the game, all of which are free. However, this means players will need an Xbox Series X/S and a PC to net all 3,000G. The game has only 10 achievements in total, all of which are easy to unlock, and the process can be completed in less than 30 minutes. Players must replay the game on all three platforms to earn the full 3000. Players should be able to complete the achievements in this idle game across the three systems in less than a couple of hours without much effort.
Card Storm Idle allows players to build an empty deck that does all the work for the player, so they can basically watch the achievements roll in. At first, players have to click on enemies to defeat them. However, as they earn gold and gems by defeating levels, they can unlock new cards that increase their click damage and deal auto damage to enemies. Achievements begin the moment a player unlocks their first card.
While there are plenty of games out there that have crushingly difficult achievements, there are also plenty that players can quickly farm to gain Gamerscore. Indie games are particularly popular for this purpose. There are, for example Smart moves 2where players can unlock all achievements in minutes just by defeating weak enemies and opening chests while repeating introductory levels. Another example is Butterflyas players can quickly earn 1,000 G simply by booting up each level, without the need for actual progress. If they purchase DLC, that number can be increased to 4,000G using the same technology.
Players who don't want to spend any money to improve their Gamerscore also have a lot to look at. Free games often include achievements, and some of them are quite easy to complete. On Xbox, players can earn 1,000 to 1,200 Gamerscore by playing free games like Aimlabs, Technical glitchand Ping Redux. Game Pass subscribers should also be sure to check out the free games offered each month, as many of them offer quick achievements or achievements that can be unlocked simply by playing through the game everyday.
Over the years, achievements have become an important part of gaming for most gamers, as they have been widely available on Xbox, PlayStation and PC platforms. While some Nintendo games have kept track of what players achieve, allowing them to do things like unlock new stickers or characters in Super Smash Bros.there is no global performance tracking system. A recent rumor indicated that Nintendo could gain performance like its competitors in the near future, but whether that's true remains to be seen.
