At a recent Fortnite event in Los Angeles, California, Epic Games teased an upcoming collaboration with the classic film Back to the futurewhich could bring the film's iconic DeLorean time machine to Battle Royale. Fortnite is currently in the midst of a major crossover with the television hit The Simpsonswhich brings characters like Homer, Bart, Marge and Lisa to the game.
Although many franchises have partnered with Epic Games in the past, Fortnitepp The Simpsons mini-season has proven to be quite a unique experience. About like Star Wars mini-season from May 2025, players currently have access to a battle pass filled with crossover cosmetics and can even find unique weapons based on the property. However, this mini-season is different from previous ones, as it debuted with an all-new map that includes iconic locations from the city of Springfield. In fact, Fortnite even abandoned his usual art style and made the entire map cel-shaded. While many players have asked Epic Games to extend the popular mini-season, the developer is currently preparing the title's next chapter.
Back to the Future is coming to Fortnite
With the launch of Chapter 7 right around the corner, Epic Games has been busy teasing future collaborations. Over on Fortnites official Instagram, Epic Games posted images through the platform's Stories feature, showcasing images of the DeLorean time machine from Back to the future at the event. Unfortunately, the images didn't come with any kind of additional information, meaning there's no way of knowing when the transition might occur or how extensive it might be. The event, which took place in Los Angeles, California, was a star-studded affair, as Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman made an appearance to promote the upcoming collaboration between Fortnite and Kill Bill.
However, Epic Games isn't relying solely on crossovers to get players excited about Chapter 7, as fans and leakers have found plenty of evidence to suggest that The Seven will return to Fortnite. The seven have played a major role in Fortnites story ever since The Visitor made his debut way back in Chapter 1. Since then, we've seen the other members of the group trickle into the game, with two of the characters even being portrayed by Hollywood stars Brie Larson and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. There's no telling what role The Seven will play in the upcoming chapter's story, but many fans have already expressed excitement about their return.
While players wait for Chapter 7 to make its debut on November 30, they can earn a free skin Fortnite by participating in the Party Up Winter Rush event. All players need to do is join a group of friends and earn XP in one of the game's many game modes to receive a host of free rewards. With so much content to enjoy and a brand new chapter just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future Fortnite.
