Fortnite Leak Reveals Gaming Crossover Which Could Be Good News For Disney Fans
A prominent Fortnite leaker reveals that a major gaming crossover with Disney could be coming to Epic Games' popular battle royale.
Fortnite's Crossover With Solo Leveling: Arise Disappoints Anime Fans
In their latest promotional video, Fortnite showed off Jin-Woo's in-game skin when he performed his iconic resurrection spell on Igris, the Blood Red Commander, suggesting that Igris will also be getting a skin. However, some fans have shared their disappointment with Jin-Woo's performance in Fortnite. As some players have pointed out, his outfit is directly taken from Solo Leveling: Arisewho has a long black coat with multiple zippers. This contrasts with the anime version, which puts the character in more casual attire with a simple blue hoodie. For this reason, players are frustrated that Epic Games chose Jin-Woo's “gacha design”. One fan suggested they skip the crossover, teasing that their “wallets have never been safer.” Their post was retweeted by 22,000 likes. Another post with 43,000 likes joked that the development team probably neglected the collaboration because it “had a hard time staying awake to pull it off.”
Fortnites trailer also credits the rights to Netmarble, the studio behind it Solo Leveling: Arisewhich further confirms that the crossover is with the game and not the anime series. On the other hand, some fans wondered about Fortnite could include more of Jin-Woo's outfits from Solo Leveling: Arise as alternative skins. Many fans have also welcomed Igris' Fortnite skin, as he is one of the strongest Shadow soldiers in the Solo Leveling and a popular character from the anime's first season. In the video, Igris is seen in both his original red armor and his Shadow form, so Epic Games could potentially launch these two skins. Fortnite has also confirmed that the collaboration will feature a “Godly Statuette” back cover and an “Ahjin Guild” emoticon. Earlier rumors hinted at a skin for Cha Hae-in as well, so fans should wait for an official look in the following days. The Fortnite and Solo Leveling: Arise crossover is expected to be released on Friday, February 20 with the upcoming update.
Although many players had hoped for it Fortnite would cooperate with the anime series, Epic Games' decision to cooperate with Solo Leveling: Arise instead can relate to the current state of the anime. It is worth noting that Solo Leveling Season 3 has been delayed indefinitely. At the same time, the game series has been more active since its launch Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive 2025. Regardless, the anime series is still one of the most popular in recent years, so its crossover with Fortnite can still prove to be quite successful.
