Final Fantasy 7 Remake Co-director Call streamlined Progression
In a chat with automaton, FF7 -REMAKE Co -director Naoki Hamaguchi said he was aware that the introduction of streamlined progression would not go well with everyone, but he pressed it anyway. He said he wanted the feature to be included because of Final Fantasy 7 -REMAKE Arrives on new platforms, in an attempt to prevent newcomers from being overwhelmed trying to get through the game. He also noted that with so many impressive games that regularly come out, he personally struggles to keep up with them all, and sometimes wish he had access to troubleshooting functions in other games to “cover more.” The perception of streamlined progression came from that idea.
The introduction of streamlined progression has not been done without regard to the emotions of existing players. Hamaguchi acknowledges to include this feature just outside the bat with a larger game edition would not be received well and could lead to problems such as spoilers that flood the internet. Then Final Fantasy 7 -REMAKE Originally launched in 2020, but the team felt it was acceptable to include it in this game. Given that logic, players are likely to expect the final post in the trilogy will not receive streamlined progression at launch, and even Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth May be too recently for such a function right now.
The flexibility of streamlined progression means players who visit the game and do not want to go through the same grinding or Final Fantasy 7 -REMAKEThe highest difficulty parts that cannot be supported can also turn on and off at any time. While some fans may still be frustrated by the fact that streamlined progression is included, plus players do not need to use it.
