Final Fantasy 14 has plenty of endgame to invest in, whether you decide to cut your teeth in this expansion's Savage battles, delve deep into the game's crafting and gathering system, or go for something a little more specific, like the relic grinding or Occult Crescent. But if we talk about the true endgame, then everyone knows that glam is where it's at.
Thanks to the recent removal of glam restrictions, which allows you to pair any item with anyone else, regardless of your job, the glam scene has never been stronger. Interesting outfits are made on an almost constant daily basis, and there are people out there who turn into true glam lovers. If you consider yourself one of these, then I have the game for you.
Final Fantasy 14 has a glam-themed word clone, and I'm a little obsessed
First shared on the Final Fantasy 14 subreddit by a user named Attomi, they shared a daily Glamor guessing game they've been working on for quite some time. It's called Glamdle (a play on the daily guessing game Wordle that started the trend) and it lets you guess the names of every part of a certain outfit that was recently featured on Eorzea Collection, a website dedicated to glam-making. One of Final Fantasy's most divisive entries is almost old enough to drink.
There are two different difficulties, one of which is a multiple choice version that gives you a selection of glam pieces to choose from, one of which is the correct answer. The other is a much more difficult version that gives you the game's entire glam range to choose from, and you have to enter the correct bit. It's pretty straightforward, but a pretty cool idea that lets you test your glam skills.
As for how easy it is, I consider myself pretty savvy on the glam front, and I still haven't gotten a perfect result despite trying it a few times. Thankfully, the game updates with a new glam every day (that's kind of the whole draw of daily puzzle games), so I can test my glam skills again when tomorrow rolls around.
It's worth noting that Glamdle currently appears to be in beta, so if there's anything wrong with the game right now, it will possibly be fixed in the future. It was also released to the public earlier this week, so there are bound to be a few niggles here and there. Anyway, it's a fun little game to have bookmarked if you like your glams, and who knows, maybe you'll get some inspiration from the glams featured.
