Nintendo Switch 2 Part manufacturers have adjusted their sales forecasts for the third quarter of 2025, which can spell good news for consumers who want to get a new console for the holiday. In short, an increase in Switch 2's demand from Nintendo for two of its manufacturing partners can lead to increased production and warehouse before 2025 Holiday Shopping Rush.
Since June 5, Switch 2 has become the fastest sold console in Nintendo's corporate history, with over six million units sold from July 24. However, Switch 2's warehouse has remained in flux since release, as retailers such as Amazon have used an e-mail and prioritized interest system to get Nintendo's new console in the hands of legitimate buyers. The deficiency led to an apology from Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa at the end of June, which stated that the company would double its efforts to meet the demand for Switch 2.
Nintendo ramps up Switch 2 production before the holidays
Although the holiday season 2025 is still months away, Nintendo prepares and its partners already preparation. As discovered by Gonintendo, two of Nintendo's manufacturing partners, Pixart and Hosiden, have increased their sales forecasts for the rest of Q3 2025. The sales forecasts for Hosiden and Pixart were published on Blusky by Nintendo Patents Watch.

Hosid is a mounting of switch parts and accessories and has revised its forecast for the third quarter of 2025 from May 9 to an increase of 10.3% in expected net sales. The adjusted prediction came after Hosiden received additional orders from Nintendo after Switch 2's June 5 launch. When it comes to Pixart, the company that makes the mussers for Nintendo's Joy-Con 2 controls, they expect a sales increase of between 11% and 19% to September. Like Hosididen, Pixart's forecast adjustments were also due to Nintendo's increased demand for Switch 2 consoles and peripherals.
Although Switch 2 production is postponing before the holiday season in 2025, the move will come at an uncertain time for the global economy. Due to the Trump administration's tariffs on goods from different countries, Nintendo has increased the price of the original Switch family of consoles and accessories in the United States, with Switch Lite now starting at $ 229 instead of $ 199.
While the customs situation remains fluid, it is unclear whether Nintendo will raise the price of the Switch 2 console and all related bundles before the winter holiday. Given that the sale of Switch 2 remains strong despite the inventory's misery, only time will tell you what additional movements Nintendo will do.
