Fallout season two is only one episode in, but it seems everyone is already loving it. Lucy and the Ghoul has made its way to fan favorite New Vegas, and the show has already revealed some characters and references from the game. In fact, it also featured some content that didn't make it to the final game.
Arguably the biggest video game character to enter the show, Mr House played a major role in episode one. While it looks like he'll be a central figure this season, actor Justin Theroux may have just revealed another New Vegas character who may appear on the show, and it's one of the weirdest characters in the game.
This one is for you Protectron Freaks
As discovered by PC Gamer, Theroux appeared on the Fallout Fake Talkshow, a bonus feature where the Snake Oil Salesman hilariously interviews the cast and crew. At some point during the interview they played “spin the bottle”, but Theroux is saved from kissing the host when the bottle points to the Protectron sitting next to him. Unfortunately, it didn't look like the robot was keen either, as it made alarming noises.
At that point, Theroux asks, “How long has Fisto been working with you?” Fallout: New Vegas geeks may remember Fisto as a very strange automaton from the game. In the mission “Wang Dang Atomic Tango” you will encounter Fisto, a reprogrammed automaton who acts as an escort and appeals to some people's robotic fantasies. You can even fulfill your robot fantasies with him.
Fallout's latest trailer makes me incredibly worried about Ghoulcy
Fans shipped Lucy and the Ghoul in the first season, but season two can't make that canon.
Maybe Theroux is just a huge Fallout: New Vegas fan, or maybe he knew Fisto's name because he appears at some point in the series. Hopefully it wasn't a scripted segment, and Theroux mistakenly revealed that the automaton will appear. Fisto would perfectly fit the setting of the show, even if it's just for a short scene.
