Pokemon championa free-to-play 3D Pokémon battle simulator, is now available on Nintendo Switch (and coming to mobile at a later date). Since it's a free-to-start experience, you can't just recruit Pokémon to your battle team at will; you have to pay if you want to catch them all.
But there is a Mystery Gift feature in it Pokemon champion which allows you to claim free Pokemon and other gifts. Right now there is only one code available, and this guide will show you what it is and how to redeem it.

How to unlock mystery gifts and redeem codes in Pokemon Champions
You won't be able to access the Mystery Gift option in the menu until you get past the tutorial for Pokemon championwhich requires some recruiting and combat. Here are the steps to redeem the codes:

Make it past the tutorial.

On the main home screen, click “Submenu” at the bottom right.

Scroll down to “Mystery Gifts”.

On this screen, enter the code and press “Confirm”.

A letter will be sent to your mailbox.

Tap the “Mailbox” button on the home screen.

Select the “Special Campaign Gift” email and then press “Claim” to get Machamp.

Do I need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to receive gifts?
No, you can play Pokemon champion and redeem Mystery Gifts without paying for a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
