Escape From Tarkov Director comments on the possibility of bombing Steam Review

The escape from Tarkov game director Nikita Buyanov has commented on the possibility of review bombing ahead of its coming Steam drop. With The escape from Tarkov Launching on Steam on November 15th, Buyanov is prepared for whatever response players have to the game.

Having been in early access since 2017, The escape from Tarkov understand the highs and lows in player reception. The game has often been criticized for its ongoing cheating problem, and The escape from Tarkovs experimental updates in the pursuit of perfect balance haven't always hit the mark. More recently, the news that existing owners would have to re-purchase the game on Steam in order to play on that platform was met with negative reception from players. While not a guarantee, there's always the possibility that this frustration could carry over to the Steam reviews.

We just want to release the game. For people. To put an exclamation point on Tarkov's story and finally give players endgame content,” said Buyanov. “You see, a large number of people have been playing Tarkov for a very long time. And among this huge number there is a small percentage of people who hate us. Will they go and do review bombing? Well, let them go ahead and do it. Steam has its own protocols to handle this.
