Magic: The Gathering is no stranger to crossovers. In recent months, Marvel, Ghostbusters and Baldur's Gate 3 have all received the Secret Lair treatment, with the promise of SpongeBob SquarePants remaining. The series isn't afraid to delve into pop culture, whether it's TV, movies, or video games, and anything is possible.

Who are you, mysterious creature?
While nothing is certain from Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast, the company has yet to combine one of the most critically acclaimed video games of all time with its card series – Ring of Fire. So one Reddit user decided that if Wizards won't do it, they will instead.
The Ring of Fire Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair Imagined By Fan
Reddit user Ric_Abdur shared 18 Magic: The Gathering x Elden Ring crossover cards on the Elden Ring subreddit and said it took them a year of work – and you can understand why.
Each card is carefully designed with some of Elden Ring's most iconic characters, items, classes and beats. The cards are based on existing MTG designs, with Marika Conquers Death and Blasphemous Act using the Lord of the Rings set frames, Drake Warrior Igon with Throne of Eldrain, a set that includes Giant Killer, and Class Enchantments using the Modern Horizons sketch frame 2. The Malenia cards are also particularly impressive. The two are double-sided, with the white side turning into the red, depicting Malenia's transformation from Miquella's blade to the Goddess of Roots.
The attention to detail in matching each design to an existing Magic card is simply superb.
Last year, another Reddit user had a similar idea and created his own set of Elden Ring x Magic: The Gathering cards from scratch. Although there are fewer of them, each of the cards was unique and designed to be playable in the real TCG. Alongside the Elden Ring designs, another fan
recently designed his own Discworld Secret Lair, featuring iconic characters from Terry Pratchett's book series.
With world-building from Game of Thrones writer George RR Martin and developed by FromSoftware, Elden Ring is a masterpiece in what has become known as the “Soulslike” genre of action RPGs.
