Covering the industry since 2018, if a game has a strong history – or even better, decides the decisions you make the course for that story – the odds are that he will like it. Or, you know, put Sonic or Pikachu on the cover and it will also get his attention.
There were rumbling at the end of last week that EA can be private thanks to an acquisition worth more than $ 50 billion. EA has now confirmed that these Rumbling was really correct, and that a consortium consisting of three companies has acquired the studio for $ 55 billion and shared 100 percent ownership of the video game publisher between them.
In a statement issued by EA on Monday morning, the studio confirmed that it has entered into an agreement with PIF, Silver Lake and Affinity Partners – the three companies that constitute the consortium – for the studio to be acquired in an all -cash agreement worth $ 55 billion. EA has stated that the goal of the acquisition is “to accelerate innovation and growth to build the future for entertainment.”
