AdHoc Studio has responded to growing community calls for more Dispatchwith a senior company official saying the team is “thinking” about a second season of the popular adventure game. But that one Dispatch the developer is not ready to commit to such a large content reduction yet.
An episodic adventure game from a studio founded by genre masters from now-defunct developer Telltale Games, starring Aaron Paul Dispatch took the world by storm after its release in October 2025, reportedly clearing 1 million sales in its first 10 days on the market. Although the final two episodes have yet to be released, fans have been asking for Season 2 since the game's debut.
Dispatch Season 2 is a possibility, the developer confirms
During a recent appearance on SkillUp's podcast The Friends Per Second, AdHoc Studios co-founder and Chief Creative Officer Pierre Shorette confirmed that the indie developer isn't ruling out another season of the popular adventure game. “At least we have to think about Season 2 now,” the industry veteran said. The remark was offered as a direct response to Dispatch blew up after its October 2025 release, though Shorette was careful not to commit to anything.
Episodic adventure games have been part of the industry for years. While AdHoc Studio adopted this model with Dispatchits release cadence suggests that the episodic format was more of a marketing strategy than a reflection of realistic development timelines. After all, each two-episode package of Dispatch was released exactly one week after the previous one – far too short a window to develop even a small amount of new content – suggesting that most of the work on each subsequent pack was already done well in advance.
The final of Dispatch is scheduled to premiere on November 12, when episodes 7 and 8 will be released on PlayStation 5 and PC. Even if AdHoc Studio is moving forward with a second season, the chances of it coming anytime soon seem slim. As modern game development cycles continue to grow longer, the likelihood of Dispatch Season 2 materializing within the next few years is basically zero.

As of November 9, Dispatch has “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews on Steam, based on over 21,300 player views. Its success reflects the broader resurgence of narrative gaming in the post-Telltale era, indicating that the public still has an appetite for dramatic storytelling that's equal parts cinematic and interactive.
