Playing through Diablo 4 Season 11 doesn't have to be complicated when one of the best builds in the game can be played with basically one button. Season 10 saw the S-Tier Dance of Knives Rogue build excel as a great leveling option that's also perfect for endgame challenges. While Diablo 4 Season 11 removes Chaos Armor, which made the build so good in Season 10 that it's replaced by something just as good.

Meta for Diablo 4 Season 11 is not yet complete, but it will likely be far less varied than last season, with Chaos Armor allowing multiple unique affixes that are usually mutually exclusive to appear on the same building. Spiritborn are already on their way to becoming the best class of Diablo 4 Season 11 with its new Path of the Emissary Unique Boots. Joining Spiritborn at the top of the meta will likely be Rogue with the addition of Death's Pavane as a unique aimed at improving the Dance of Knives build.

Diablo 4 Season 11 gives the Dance of Knives Rogue a new trick up its sleeve

What makes Dance of Knives Rogue so appealing as a leveling build is the minimal button input required. Dance of Knives is the primary skill players will use with this setting, and channeling this skill summons knives around the player that automatically fire at nearby enemies as they move. While the skill requires players to spend charges to launch each blade, there are ways for Rogue to reload these blades quickly, including through the new Death's Pavane's Unique affix.

Death's Pavane will make Dance of Knives even better in season 11

  • Pavane of Death

    • +15% Dodge Chance while channeling Dance of Knives

    • +11.0% Critical Hit Chance

    • +25.0% Movement Speed

    • +3 to Dance of Knives

    • +85.0% Agility Damage

    • Unique Affix: Dance of Knives drops knives from enemies that are hit. Picking them up gives you 1 charge and increases your Dance of Knives damage by 10-20% for 6 seconds, stacking up to 3 times.

These unique Diablo 4 Pants offer a great mix of affixes that are perfect for enhancing Rogue's mobility while making the Dance of Knives even stronger than in previous seasons. If the player continues to move towards enemies they have defeated, they can pick up the knives dropped by this unique mount to restore charges of Dance of Knives, with the added bonus of a 10-20% damage increase that stacks up to 3x for a potential total of up to 60% more damage.

The power of Dance of Knives Rogue Build in Diablo 4 Season 10 came largely from a combination of Aspect of Star Shards and Fists of Fate Chaos Unique. Star Shards is a legendary aspect that allows Rogue to consume Combo Points to gain additional Dance of Knives charges, while Fists of Fate gives Rogue the ability to randomly deal between 1% and 360% of their normal damage per attack. While Fists of Fate won't be available as Chaos Armor in Season 11, Star Shards will still be able to give Rogues some extra juice.

Upgrading to Enhanced Dance of Knives also allows Rogue to reset the charge of the skill simply by moving far enough, making movement speed a critical factor in this build.

diablo 4 season 11 full time

To make up for the lack of Chaos Armor in season 11, Diablo 4 Rogues running this build will want to take advantage of the damage boost from Death's Pavane. Not only is this damage bonus more reliable than that of Fists of Fate, but it also restores a charge of the skill. The combination of these abilities should allow Dance of Knives Rogues to constantly move while keeping the skill active indefinitely, even if they don't have a chance to get a 360% increased damage hit.
