Level up quickly and efficiently to reach endgame content in a given season of Diablo 4 is also the first task players face when creating a new seasonal character. Diablo 4 Season 11 gives players some great new tools to smooth out this process, with a change to how skill points are earned and the new season ranking mechanic providing a new progression meter. With these tweaks, a classic level route has returned to its throne as the best place for Diablo 4 players to spend their time preparing for the Season 11 playoffs.
Season 11 makes speed farming more essential than ever, with new challenges such as Lesser Evil invasions and the competitive Tower dungeon and its associated Leaderboards essential parts of Diablo 4s new playoffs. While there are plenty of Diablo 4 leveling buildings to help players quickly prepare for these tasks, finding the best place to put these constructs into action is an equal part of the equation. Fortunately, Diablo 4 Season 11 opens the door for the Pit to be the ideal breeding ground even before players reach the endgame.
The Pit is once again the best place to level up quickly in Diablo 4 Season 11
During the seasons, the best place to get in Diablo 4 has varied a lot. Previous seasons saw the optimal route develop between Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides, with the Pit being an excellent option for advancing the Paragon Board once players hit level 60. However, the Pit can become the place to be during the early game gate to max level in Diablo 4thanks to some of its barriers to entry being removed in season 11.
The pit can now be reached before level 60 at level 10
Prior to Season 11, the pit could not be accessed until players reached max level 60, as the dungeon served as a gateway to higher levels of Torment difficulty. However with Diablo 4 Season 11's shift towards Capstone Dungeons as a difficulty gate, has been opened up for access before players reach max level. Now, players can start farming Pit at Tier 10 as soon as they are strong enough to reach Rank 2 in the season journey, making it a great place for leveling for most of the season.
The Pit will also cost no resources to enter, making it easily replayable for players who want to farm it.
How to maximize leveling efficiency in the pit in Diablo 4 Season 11
While players will not immediately be able to unlock the pit Diablo 4 Season 11 it will likely still be a favorite spot for leveling early in the season tour. Players will want to have a firm grasp on their build before taking on the Pit, with several legendaries and potentially even a unique or two before attempting a run. This would put most players around level 30 or 40 as the recommended starting place for the Pit to get the most out of runs during the time between leveling and endgame content, since the Capstone Dungeon to reach Rank 2 is set at level 30.
For best chance to succeed in Pit in Diablo 4 Season 11 players will want to follow some unwritten rules:
-
Have an Elixir and an Incense active when you enter the Pit for buffs, as well as more XP.
-
Invest in movement speed to make running the dungeon much faster.
-
Take it one level at a time if the challenge is too great. There is no need to jump multiple levels between rides, especially since the Pit has no cost this season.
Another good reason to use the Pit as a leveling yard is to prepare for Diablo 4's Tower dungeon and Leaderboards, which will be released in early 2026. The two dungeons will likely play very similarly, and similar builds will thrive in both, so the Pit will be the perfect test run for many builds in anticipation of The Tower's release.
