One of the best new features added to the Tempering system is the ability for a Tempered affix to be a Greater Affix. Unlike a standard affix, Greater Affixes allow the hardened stat to go beyond the maximum of its standard variant. Ancestral items already drop by at least one Greater Affix, and now players can add another one to an item via Tempering.
