Tragedies and lifelong trauma are the unfortunate reality of countless people in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba universe. Kanao Tsuyuri's formative year was filled with emotional abuse, hopelessness and torture. She was neglected by her parents who eventually sold her to a man. Fortunately, Kanao was rescued by Shinobu and Kanae Kocho, who stopped labeling their talent and gave her the opportunity to hone their skills.

Kanao exceeded all expectations and turned out to be worth becoming their tsuguko. But the psychological injury in her childhood was deep and she struggled to make even simple life decisions on her own. Over time, Kanao grew near the Kocho sisters, but the tragedy struck when Kanae was killed by an upper moon.
When the flower Hashira was gone, Shinobu imitated his behavior and began to take care of Kanao. Slowly she became an indispensable member of Demon Slayer Corps and when Tanjiro met her during the rehabilitation training she was so strong that he pulled out that she was the closest demon for Hashira.

Some of the most talented Hashira from the Taisho era will finally reveal its real potential and fight for its best. In all this chaos, Kanao has largely been ignored so far. What many fans do not realize yet is that she will play a crucial role in the trilogy.

Kanao has been training relentlessly for several years now. Even when Tanjiro first met her, her movements were difficult to keep track of. She was also a long translator Svärdman to Tanjiro and his friends. Eventually, Kanao's combat ability will reach a point that even the upper Monemon she will fight admits that she has surpassed some of Taisho -ras top Hashira. Keep in mind that she uses flower breathing, a derivative of water breathing, her performance will remember as nothing but extraordinary.
There is no doubt that Tsuyuri will be Demon Slayer Corp's most underrated talent in the last battle. Canao's journey to overcome childhood trauma and abuse against fighting and overwhelming one of the most powerful creatures available will leave many fans stunned when the fight finally comes to life.
