Deliverance 2 Villain should be as dismissed as RDR2's Micah

This article contains large spoilers for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

There is no shortage of mandatory villains in play, but some of the best are often considered so because they are sympathetic or tragic. But games with villains that really make players hate them can be as effective as those who serve players' sympathy and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Has both sides of this spectrum. A character is particularly contemptible and evokes comparisons with the notorious hated Micah Bell from Red Dead Redemption 2.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Constantly asks players to fight with moral choices, often if they are to kill an enemy in the name of revenge or spare them and embrace forgiveness. For as horrible as characters as Istvan Toth and Markvart von Aulitz are, their villain is much more tasty because they make their intentions clear from the beginning. But storage against Vauquelin Brabant makes him so much more disgusting because his two face nature seems to come from a selfish place, rather than one of ideals, which shows a clear parallel to Red Dead Redemption 2S micah.

Family

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's Jan Zizka and Red Dead Redemption's Dutch are two sides of the same coin

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and Red Dead Redemption 2 have a surprising number of similarities, including those between Jan Zizka and Dutch.

Vauquelin Brabant is as contemptible as Red Dead Redemption's Micah Bell

Micah Bell is one of the game's most hated characters

Red Dead Redemption 2 Players are probably well acquainted with the villain Micah Bell, whose misunderstanding throughout the game paints him as one of the most treacherous characters in games. While Micah is an ally by Van der Linde gang for most of the game, red flags begin to emerge before taking a hard left turn against storage. With a suspected background and questionable behavior shown in the strawberry massacre, it is not surprising that Micah ended up as an informant for Pinkertons and sells the gang's place of residence for personal wealth.

Truchers are already some of the simplest characters to hate in any story, especially those who sell their comrades for personal profits. What makes Micah an even more contemptible traitor is the fact that he manipulated Dutch paranoia to drive a wedge between him and Arthur so that he could secure the money from the Blackwater job for himself. The final in RDR2Epilog can be one of the most cathartic experiences in the game, where players finally get to kill Micah like John Marston and quit their villain.

Brabant's storage room strengthens him as another Micah Bell

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2Vauquelin Brabant follows a similar character arch as Micah and plays an almost identical role in the game's story. Players will first meet him as a prisoner by Otto von Bergow with his Capon when Henry sneaks into the Maleshov mount to save his Liege. Although they have reservations about taking Brabant in their flight from the fortress, Capon Henry assures that Brabant is an ally, after led the defense of Kuttenberg against Sigismund's army before he was caught.

However, it is clear that Brabant is just an opportunist after he tries to run with Silver Zizka, Henry and the gang stole from the Italian court and killed adders during the process. Although Brabant claims to be a French baron, a quick look at his story reveals that he is a charlatan who stumbled into the nobility and jumps on the chance to manipulate who he can for personal profit. The last twist of the knife comes when it is revealed that Brabant commands the Prague's troops that add siege to Suchdol Castle, and after he caught and tortures Samuel during it counts the main mission, players can make the easy choice to kill him in the Praguer camp.

If players choose to spare brabant here, he will immediately require guards and blow the player's cover, which further shows that he will go as far as is required to save his own skin.

It is not often that players are confronted by truly evil villains in play, and Micah Bell and Vauquelin Brabant are poster children for these types of treacherous debris. Nor is it driven by anything other than their own interest, as far as sacrificing the lives of those they call allies if it helps them achieve their goals. With how discouraged Micah Bell has become in the gaming community since the release of Red Dead Redemption 2It is only fair that Brabant is raised to the same notority in the wake of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2S emissions.
