This article contains large spoilers for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is filled with memorable characters, both allies and villains, which shine thanks to the game's fantastic writing. Throughout the turn of the game's story, it becomes increasingly clear that not every loose end will be finely tied by the end of the game. This leaves Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 In the perfect position for a potential Threequel to follow up, and one of the game's most interesting villains may be at the heart of this future history.
Even if Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Finally, Justice sees Treat Istvan Toth and Markvart von Aulitz, two of the primary villains from the first game, it leaves fate for other villains unclear. Otto von Bergow flees during the siege of Suchdol after Sigismund is withdrawn to Hungary and leaves the game's overall antagonist without his correct decay. But the most interesting document left hanging is Erik, the master who serves under Toth and von Aulitz, who do not see a clear resolution of the end of the game while he still has a chip left on the shoulder.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 proves why rumor should be the new morality
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's reputation system is so full of shade that it makes a strong case to replace the traditional moral system.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 leaves Erik as a Chekov's gun waiting to shoot in KCD3
Erik acts as the perfect foil for Henry's character
Erik has played important roles in both Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 And its predecessors, but has only become increasingly important as the series has been going on. He was the son of a family killed by Istvan Toth, who then adopted Erik in his army and became something as a father figure for him. After studying the art of swords fighting under Toth, Erik rose through the trail to become master and led abuse against Wencesla's allies on several occasions.
There are some clear parallels between Erik and Henry, who both lost their parents to Istvan Toth's army. But while Henry sought revenge against Toth for destroying Skalitz and stole the sword of Sir Radzig, Erik went with Toth's band and grew to be very close with the man who murdered his parents. After Henry kills Toth in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2—Tom, fulfills his pursuit of revenge – Erik takes his own pursuit of revenge against Henry for murdering the man he had become so close.
If Kingdom comes: Deliverance 3 Hands, Erik will probably be in Hot Pursuit of Henry
In a persuasive twist, the final meeting Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Players can have with Erik is completely optional. Players can choose whether to accept Erik's invitation to a duel to Henry after Sigismund's troop from Bohemia, where they will meet a version of Erik who has nothing left to lose. Although this one-on-one-fight can be tough, there is never a concrete winner because a defeated Erik will go Henry to kill him, just because their exchange will be shortened by Markvart von Aulitz who rides with an army to attack Suchdol.
Whether or not players choose to duel Erik, it seems as if he remains alive to seek revenge in a future Threequel.
Last time, he sees Erik he is hurt but alive when Henry goes off to warn the castle about the incoming attack. With none of the pages who see justice from this duel, it seems likely that Erik will continue to chase Henry down when he has regained his strength, leading to a potential confrontation in a future Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3. With the main theme of the series, the moral issues surrounding the revenge cycle are Erik positioned to be the perfect villain for KCD3 Who can further show the Henry effects of war and how revenge cannot change the past.
