Palworld fans should mark December 23rd in their calendars, as that's the date the game's next big update will be released. Called Feybreak, the upcoming content release promises to continue expanding Pocketpair's hit survival crafting sim.

Palworld has received many updates since its early access launch in mid-January 2024. Most recently, the game's 0.3.12 patch rolled out across all platforms on December 3rd.

Palworld has certainly changed a lot since its launch in January, and now it won't leave 2024 quietly, as it leaves with a major update in tow.

Pocketpair now wants to follow up that version with another Palworld update in the form of Feybreak, which was announced at the 2024 edition of The Game Awards on December 12. The upcoming patch was showcased as part of a 92-second cinematic trailer that offered a sneak peek at some of its content, including a new faction leader and a new assortment of weapons. Feybreak is scheduled to roll out on December 23, Pocketpair said. If the game's previous updates are any indication, this upcoming patch will likely debut on PC at least a few hours before it hits consoles.

Following up on the TGA 2024 trailer, Pocketpair shared a few more details about Feybreak, confirming that the incoming update will expand Palworlds list of Pals and even introduce more buildings. New game mechanics will also be included in the package, the Japanese developer said, albeit without elaborating. In terms of new weapons, the TGA 2024 campaign teased weaponry that appears to resemble the M1 Garand, AK-47, a plasma minigun, and some form of submachine gun, as well as a plasma sword.


Feybreak will be largely focused on a new map, which will arrive in the form of an island officially designated as six times the size of the map from PalworldThe Sakurajima update, which rolled out to PC and console players in late June 2024. The trailer presented at the recent Game Awards showed glimpses of the upcoming map, hinting that Feybreak Island will offer a wide variety of environment designs.
