Dead in daylight developer Behavior Interactive has just confirmed that another Stranger Things DLC Chapter is coming to the asymmetric multiplayer horror game soon. This announcement is welcomed Stranger Things to a very exclusive club, with the only IP apart Resident Evil to collaborate with Dead in daylight for the second time.
The first one Dead in daylight x Stranger Things DLC Chapter was originally launched in September 2019, although it was removed from the game just two years later due to license expiration. This initial wave of Stranger Things the contents were taken back to Dead in daylight in November 2023, and it is still available today.
For $11.99, or 1,500 Auric Cells, Dead in daylight players gain access to two Stranger Things-themed Survivors, Steve Harrington and Nancy Wheeler, as well as a Killer, The Demogorgon. While Nancy's Survivor Perks revolve around raising awareness of teammates, Steve focuses on helping himself and others while on the kill and just outside of it. Demogorgon's main Killer Power allows them to create portals and teleport across the map via the Upside Down.
Stranger Things Vecna Is Coming to Dead by Daylight
On November 27, Dead in daylights official X account posted a short 20-second teaser confirming it for a second Stranger Things DLC Chapter is coming to the game. This announcement coincides with Stranger Things Season 5 will be released on Netflix, with the final season's first four episodes coming to the subscription service on November 26 in the US.
Even if Dead in daylight Stranger Things crossover teaser is short, it seems to confirm that Stranger Things the villain Vecna will be the focal point of the DLC, likely a new playable assassin. It will be interesting to see how Stranger Things' Vecna differs from Dungeons and dragons version (who Stranger Things character is based on) who came to Dead in daylight in June 2024 as part of its Dungeons and dragons crossover chapter. It is possible that Stranger ThingsVecna will stand out by focusing more on the villain's telepathy and mind control abilities than Dungeons and dragonsversion's magic-based powers.
About the upcoming one Dead in daylight x Stranger Things Chapter 2 follows in the footsteps of the original crossover from 2019, when fans can also see two Survivors come together with Vecna. Jim Hopper and Joyce Byers are the most likely candidates to be Dead in daylight Survivor, where the core of children are likely too young (at least in-universe) to be subject to such a brutal and bloody horror game. The first one Stranger Things Dead in daylight The crossover also added a map inspired by Hawkins' underground laboratory, so it's possible that this upcoming chapter could also add a new map, perhaps taking inspiration from an iconic Stranger Things place like Creel House or Vecna's Upside Down hideout.
The other one Dead by Daylight Stranger Things crossover is scheduled for release in January 2026, which should coincide nicely with Stranger Things Season 5 finale at the beginning of the year. With a January 2026 release window, it's possible fans could see more from the DLC at The Game Awards 2025.
