A new one DanMachior Is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeonthe season is on and now the English dub will hit HIDIVE this week. DanMachi is originally a novel written by Fujino Omori and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda, in serialization since 2013, with 19 volumes to date. Yen Press publishes it in the US.
The anime's first season aired in 2015. The second season didn't arrive until 2019, followed by the third in 2020. The fourth season was split into two parts. The first was released in 2022 and the second in 2023. Finally, the fifth season is being broadcast since last October. An animated film, Orion's arrowdebuted in 2019, before the second season premiere, which takes place between the two seasons. Sentai Filmworks licensed all seasons in the US. According to the official HIDIVE website, the DanMachi V dub hits the streaming service on 13 November 2024 at 12pm EST/9am PST (17:00 UTC), with a weekly schedule. It premiered at New York Comic Con last month. Bryson Baugus and Luci Christian are back as Bell Cranel and Hestia respectively. Kyle Jones directs the dub.

In addition to the anime adaptation, DanMachi also created two manga, video games, and a spin-off novel series of the title Sword Oratoriowhich also inspired a manga and was adapted into an anime in 2017. It was also licensed in the US by Sentai Filmworks. A few mobile and console games were also produced.
What is the story about?
In the story, several gods decide to take up residence in a town called Orario, limiting their own powers in search of some fun. These gods gather people from the city into some kind of guild of their own, known as Familia, to explore nearby dungeons, where they can fight monsters and collect treasure. In this context, Bell Cranel joins the Goddess Hestias Familia, and he is the only member. His goal is to become as strong as Ais Wallenstein, a famous swordswoman who once saved his life. However, he doesn't realize that he ends up catching the attention of several girls during this trip, including Hestia herself.
