We live in the era with competent game production. Today it feels like everything you pick up is playing well. There are a lot of games that are undoubtedly good, while not doing anything to stand out. Therefore, I have taken you this list of games defined by a only aspect.

8 retro games with amazing stories
You do not need high -resolution cuts to tell a good story.
Not all of these prominent aspects are enough to carry their respective games, but at least all these elements help that ordinary titles differ among the rebellion. There is even an example or two where the remarkable aspect may have catapulated its associated game to the kingdom of greatness.

Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor
The nemesis system
Let's start this with the first example that will probably appear in each reader's head: the OH-SO-famous nemesis system. Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor is a fairly standard, open world game. From skill trees to map locking towers to the general feeling of battle. It is so Ubisoft that it hurts. But then there is the nemesis system.
This mechanic creates a complex weave of various orcs that will fight you, remember you, fight against other evil and climb on a complex social hierarchy. It is one of the coolest mechanics we have ever seen implemented in this type of game. Unfortunately, Warner Bros patented it and used only the mechanic in Mordor -duology. Since then, we have never seen another game tackle this incredibly cool system. Why do you have to be like this, Warner Bros? Why?

Time and eternity
The graphic style
The seventh generation of games was a bad, bad time for RPG fans. There were only a handful of editions, and most of them were quite impossible. Time and eternity were one of these editions, and oral words spread quickly: it is a completely unnoticed game, and it's not worth your time. Although I have heard the word on the street I bought it anyway. Why? Man, just look On that!
Time and eternity are not cell shaded; It is properly hand -drawn. Until today, aesthetics are still wild. Especially in a game set in a 3D world. It is undoubtedly a visually amazing title. When it comes to all other elements of the game, it can be too generous to call it on average. The story is directly grid, and its humor is more than a little icky. The battle is good, but the enemies are spongy, and there is not a lot of variation. So yeah, probably not worth the purchase but the graphic style is still infringement.

Away away days
Zombie hordes
This one encounters a little hard, because the story works well enough, and it has some good performances, but it is another open world game filled with collectibles, a wisely cracked protagonist with a dark past, and the third person perspective every Sony-connected game that comes out at this time had. The zombie element is also not a new angle. But it made one thing better than any other zombie game I've ever played: it contained unaware Big zombie hordes.
No, I will not call them “freakers”. You can't do me.

Best zombie game
Zombies that are in video games are almost as old as the gaming industry itself, and here we look at the best games with the live dead in them.
Technically, the dead rising players could have more zombies on the screen at a time. But context is everything. Dead Rising's zombies tend to be spoiled. The hordes on away days, on the other hand, would sprint on you. Having hundreds of screaming zombies, pat over each other, spilling over vehicles and forming blob-like masses that fill the screen is still, to this day, incredibly impressive.

The first berserker: Khazan
Extremely satisfying battle
Against the background of that, the first Berserker: Khazan has decent soul -like scenes, a serving story, a sufficiently solid aesthetic and an adequate musical point. That is the very definition of average. It does not make much wrong, it only rarely stands out. Until, that is, you come to the battle. You can tell you the developers spent an absurd time adjusting the battle, as everything feels utter satisfactory.
Parry timing is perfectAnd it is accompanied by a satisfactory sound effect every time you meet it. The Dodge roll also feels good. Especially since you timing it Just Gives you an improved version. Team Ninjas Soulsikes rightly praises to have a satisfactory battle, but I honestly think Khazan is feeling better. I have even made peace with the fact that I think Khazan is feeling better than even most of Frommare's titles. The best of Sekiro, which still has the best feeling Parry in a game.
If you play soulsikes for the battle, I can't recommend the first Berserker: Khazan enough. It has not seen anything you have seen anywhere else, but it nails the feeling of everything so incredibly well that it doesn't matter.

Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom
Omni-direction mechanics
This is a hyperspecific mail. The attack on the Titan game is the very definition of an okay game. Like so many anime games before it has been anime to assign, and you get parts of the story that are stuck between them. The assignment structure feels much dynasty, except here you fight massive titans instead of hundreds of incompetent soldiers. But the omni-direction mechanics brand for mobility equipment? They are shocking smooth.
The game does not automate them for you either. You have complete control over this vapor -based, gripping crocheted propulsion system. It's really amazing. Honestly, with the level of control that the game gives you, I think the feeling of Traversal is unsurpassed. Even the Spiderman games do not match what Omega Force managed to achieve with its attack on Titan game. It is an impressive achievement, and one we are not talking about enough. It's just fantastic that such a magnificent mechanic was stuck in an otherwise marsh standard anime license game.

Final Fantasy 15
Vibes
If there has ever been a game greater than the sum of its parts, it is Final Fantasy 15. Let's start with the open world, which is utter mild. The battle? It is a complete mess, even if it looks at least. The story is told in an interesting way, where you only see the things that Noctis sees, but it is quite thin during the first half and deviates in the typical camp, anime nonsense in the second. Hell, even the music is forgetful. I don't remember a single track exclusive to Final Fantasy 15. Not a single one. I can't say that some Other Final Fantasy title.

Things you didn't know about the development of Final Fantasy 15
Final Fantasy 15 underwent an interesting and unique development process.
But the cool vibes you get when you just hang with bros are, as the kids say, immaculate. Although the role of characters is not very well developed, the friendship feels evident. It's a real wonders, because I can't say why everything works as well as it does, but friendship just ends up feeling real. Final Fantasy 15 beat the odds. It was an unfinished, stapled-together with a game that still stops being compelling because it nails ''Je ne sais quoi ' of everything.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
World interaction
Oh boy, I can see this going bad for me, but before you get your pitch for, hear me out. A game carried by a single mechanic can still be good if that mechanic is strong enough. And I think this is the perfect example of how a game is a great mechanic can wear it. Breath of the Wild's World Interactivity is undoubtedly some of the best we have seen. Ever.
How you can scale anything, and how you can influence, combine and influence the environment with your Sheikah Slate abilities, as well as other objects that exist in the world, lead to the game can give players almost endless opportunities for creativity. But that aspect really is the game. What is BotW with its world interaction away? The story is not very strong. The mass majority of the game you have struggled with the same three enemies. The boss battles are Incredible Basic and outside the champion KohgaThe They have some of the least memorable designs in a Zelda game.
The majority of “puzzle” in the sanctuary you encounter is pretty much self -explanatory, and they are often repeated – hell, there are twenty shrines where you fight against the same spinning robot with a small change or two. The battle feels GoodBut that is Incredible naive. To an error I would claim. Breath of the Wild is a fantastic sandbox game. It is built around the deep, nuanced level of interactivity. Remove that element, and Botw would have very little to hang their pointed, green hat on.
