Complete Fusion Chart And Cheapest Recipes For Each Persona In Persona 5 Royal

One of the hallmarks of the Persona series is the ability of the protagonist character to recruit, summon, and fuse multiple Personas of their own, and naturally, Persona 5 Royal is no exception. And the Compendium in this game has plenty of options to choose from – 197, to be precise.

But with so much to factor into fusion, there’s a lot to plan ahead of time. We’ve laid out a fusion chart for each of the Personas that Joker is able to summon, so follow along with our Persona 5 Royal fusion calculator below.

Updated on February 7, 2026 by Gabrielle Castania: With Persona 5 Royal having firmly established itself as one of the best JRPGs of all time by now, we’re back to update our P5R fusion guide once again. Now, we’ve included not only a standard recipe for each Persona, but also a recipe that uses a Treasure Demon for a quick, easy way to fill your Compendium in Persona 5 Royal.

Fusion Chart Overview

The fusion chart for Persona 5 Royal.

While we have listed the most inexpensive recipes for each Persona in Persona 5 Royal in the tables below, there’s strict math that goes into calculating the Persona you’ll receive following a fusion. The majority of the fusion result has to do with the default level of the ingredient Personas. The level to which you’ve raised them since then doesn’t matter – only the level at which they can be fused (which is listed in the tables below).

How Long Does It Take To Beat Persona 5 Royal?

We look at how long it takes to play through all the content Persona 5 Royal has to offer.

The formula is:

To summarize the equation, the average of each of the ingredient Persona’s default levels, rounded up, is the lowest possible level the fusion Persona can be.

0.5 is added instead of one if the average contains a decimal.

Once this equation has been plugged into the game, it will then give you the Persona closest to that level from the arcana to which you’re fusing. If there isn’t a Persona of that exact level, the game will always round up to the next Persona of that arcana. This is how we end up with dozens of possible combinations for fusions for each Persona.

Our guide below has listed only the least expensive fusion options for each Persona. You’ll absolutely find other recipes as you play that result in these Personas as well, but we’ve listed the cheapest recipes to save you some yen, as bulk fusing gets expensive fast.

Treasure Demon Fusion

Throughout the dungeons in Persona 5 Royal, you may come across a Treasure Demon. They occur somewhat randomly within treasure in palaces, but their likelihood of spawning increases the higher the palace security is. Fusing with Treasure Demons is different from fusing with Personas, as this method takes the arcana into account seemingly more than anything else.

We’ve got a full guide to finding and utilizing Treasure Demons that details this process more. As such, we’ve included a recipe to fuse every Persona in Persona 5 Royal using a Treasure Demon in addition to the usual recipes using two Personas for each available fusion.

How To Use Our Guide

Below, we’ve broken down the entire Compendium by arcana. The arcana are listed in the order in which they appear in the tarot. This is the same order in which they’ll be organized if you organize the Compendium by Arcana.

A screenshot of the Compendium in Persona 5 Royal.

Each arcana has an Ultimate Persona. This Persona is the most powerful of that arcana, and as such, it cannot be fused until your Confidant has reached max ranking. These Ultimate Personas will always be the last Personas in the table for each arcana, with their names written in italics to make the distinction for each time they appear in other recipes as well.

Even if you have the Personas required to fuse it, the game will not allow you to do so until you’ve completed the Confidant. Your Confidants give you special items during their final scene, which permit the fusion of their arcana’s Ultimate Persona.

We’ve also added a section at the bottom of our guide for all the DLC Personas available in Persona 5 Royal. You won’t need to fuse them, but you’ll need to be able to pay to withdraw them from the Compendium.

0: Fool Arcana

Personas of the Fool arcana are perfectly suited to playing P5R in such a way that you use Joker to fill your elemental gaps, since Fool Personas will almost always be able to learn skills of any kind, making them perfectly customizable to meet any need. The Fool Confidant in P5R is tied to your story progression with the members of the Phantom Thieves; it will periodically rank up as you go through Persona 5 Royal and does not need to be handled manually.

Look toward the Light when using Personas of the Justicer arcana, since they normally thrive with moves of this type as the angel characters of lore. While fans of Persona 5 Royal have been outspoken in what a twerp they find the “Detective Prince” Goro Akechi to be, his odd sense of justice is what makes P5R possible.
