When Borderland's 4 is launched on September 12, the latest part in the Borderlands -Franchisis will not cost $ 80, as it was revealed on Monday that the game starts at $ 69.99. It is a great relief, especially considering the excitement created by a potential $ 80 pricing company.
That said, when the game is launched, its premium collector edition, which will be exclusive to Gamestop and the retail to $ 149.99, will contain a copy of the game.
However, it will have a map, echo-4 figure, a shift code, a necklace and some art prints. Adding $ 69.99 Basopian of the game to Total gives fans a $ 220 price company. Not bad, but hardly any savings that usually come up with a collector's edition or similar package.
That said, it would not be the first time a collector's edition immediately included the game. In fact, it is part of a rather interesting growing trend.

The state of physical gaming collection is without repair
As a physical game collector, the future seems difficult.
The collector's edition used to come up with everything. No longer
Most recently, the long -rumored remaster of Final Fantasy Tactics revealed that its collector's edition does not include the game, but customers are free to “add” the game to their wagon to “bundle” the two together. Square drew a similar stunt a year ago with life is strange: double exposure collector edition.
Elsewhere, Civilization 7's Big-Time Collector's Edition also included the game itself. If you wanted the game, along with the goodies, the cost almost doubled. Oh, and it was delivered as a code, not a real copy. Before that, Dragon Age: The Vilguard did not have one, but two editions, which no one had the game.
It is a rather worrying trend that seems to affect some quite huge editions. It is unclear why the change in the strategy (probably money), but it seems the goal is to sell collector's editions, it would be wise that, you know, actually includes the game.
