Over the years, Gearbox has offered Borderlands fans the ability to redeem SHIFT codes in certain games to receive various rewards. The developer has continued this marketing in Borderlands 4with players already able to take advantage of new codes to get Golden Keys and more. While Borderlands 4 released on September 12, new SHIFT codes continue to become available, encouraging players to jump back into the action.
Why I'm waiting for Borderlands 4's first DLC before going back to it
Having previously finished Borderlands 4, I've been biding my time until the first major DLC drops to return to it for a couple of reasons.
Borderlands 4 New SHIFT Code

The latest of these SHIFT codes was revealed by Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford on Twitter and is as follows: JHFJB-6KCHJ-5XBB5-JBTBJ-6FRRJ. According to the tweet, the code will expire on November 25, meaning players will need to act quickly to claim their reward. Specifically, this SHIFT code gives players three golden keys that can be used to unlock rare loot in Borderlands 4.
It's worth noting that players have a couple of ways to redeem SHIFT codes Borderlands 4. The first way involves logging into a linked SHIFT account and entering the code in the Rewards tab of the official website. Alternatively, players can enter the code directly in-game via the SHIFT menu. After redeeming the code, the corresponding reward should be added to their inventory to use in the game.
This new SHIFT code adds to the list that Gearbox has offered players. Given the developer's history, this likely won't be the last for players to redeem. As Borderlands 4 continues to be supported through new updates, the SHIFT code promotions give developers a way to encourage certain players to return to check out what's new in the game.
Speaking of new updates, the game's creative director recently teased a potential roadmap for Borderlands 4 revolves around player feedback. Although not much new content has been released recently, the developer says that many things are in the works. Additionally, a new story pack is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2026. This content release will bring additional story missions and a new Borderlands 4 Vault Hunter is called, among other things, C4$H. Time will tell when the next SHIFT code promotion will be announced.
