With Borderlands 4 Now, its one month's anniversary has probably done it throughout history, reached level 50, began to deal with Ultimate Vault Hunter mode, or all of the above and more. It means that many eyes are now on Borderlands 4S future, with the first major DLC, Mad Ellie and The Vault of the Damned, waiting for the players in the first quarter of 2026. There is still plenty of time between now and then, and only a handful of information has been revealed about DLC's content so far, but the perfect environment already seems clear.
Although it has been confirmed that the first DLC package for Borderlands 4 will bring the brand new Vault Hunter C4SH and see the return of fan favorite Borderland Character Ellie, its attitude has largely remained under cover. Apart from a cryptic comment made of the gearbox about where DLC will take place at Cairos, all that is known if it will introduce a new region, without officially pointing to a specific location on the map. However, eagle -eyed players have discovered a whole map of Cairos hidden in Borderlands 4Carcadia burns the region, which leads to speculation about where DLC can actually take place.
The map itself only notices the regions currently available on Borderlands 4Cairos, but the rest of what seems to be a potentially investigative landscape is suffered. Country in northwestern, northeastern and southeastern corners of the map is all present but currently unused in the game, which indicates what players can access at the moment works more like the sun through which possible DLC regions revolve around. This does not necessarily confirm the setting for Borderlands 4Mad Ellie DLC, but in combination with what the gearbox has already said, it can.
The attitude of Borderlands 4's Mad Ellie DLC can already be etched into the map
So far, the only thing that the gearbox has confirmed about the attitude of the game's Mad Ellie DLC its climate. During Borderlands 4The Pax West Panel before launch mentioned Gearbox that the first DLC would take place in a “snowy” region, and some early concept art shown by Ellie in hot, fur-lined clothing supports that description. Given which biome already exists in Cairos, it is possible to limit further where the first DLC can be set.
Borderlands 4 Can take place in a seamless open world, but it still offers a variety of biomas. Currently, players can explore Fadefield's lush Greenland, the hard desert in Arcadia Burn, the bitter cold in Terminus Range and the sci-fi city landscape in Dominion. In view of the fact that Borderlands 4Mad Ellie DLC takes place in a snowy region, in addition to the map of Cairos located in Arcadia Burn, it seems likely that the expansion's attitude will be linked to Termus Range.
The northeastern part of Borderland's 4 map seems unused
It is also not the end of speculation, as the northeastern corner of Borderlands 4Map of Cairos is there but currently unused. It is even possible to put custom pins in that area on the map, although it cannot be reached at the moment. Players can also put customized pins in the unused southeastern corner of the map, which can also be linked to future DLC, but that region has not gray out land that is etched in it yet. As such it seems like Borderlands 4Mad Ellie DLC is likely to be in a region that serves as an extension of the Termus interval.
The only reservation is perhaps that Borderlands 4New Vault Hunter C4SH has a Western vibe, which suggests a desert region rather than a snowy region. It may be that C4SH actually comes from a northwestern region linked to Arcadia Burn, but that the area will not be available until a future DLC beyond Mad Ellie and the vault of the condemned. However, it may also be that the region northwest of Arcadia Burn is in fact snowy, and which would adapt to the map found there – which shows a white region northwest of the Arcadia burning and a green region northeast of Termus Range. For the moment, however, it seems like Borderlands 4The first DLC has northeastern in sights.
