Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies' Resident Evil Easter Egg explained
With the latest publication of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 3 was introduced players to the brand new zombies map, crushed Veil. The latest chapter in Weaver and the rest of the crew's ongoing story, Shattered Veil takes players to an Appalachian mansion with a “diabolical past.”
In this mysterious, seemingly abandoned mansion, players can find an empty arms bracket above a closed fireplace, surrounded by taxidermied deer heads. If players have a Marine SP -hail rifle equipped and the death perception Perk Active, they can interact with the weapons mount, which starts a challenging mini -Easter egg.
This Easter egg seems to be a rather subtle tribute to the very first Resident evil game. 1996's Resident evil (And its remake 2001), players find a shotgun mounted on the wall during the early hours of their exploration of Spencer Mansion. Removing the shotgun triggers a nail trap coming out of the ceiling. To take the shotgun surely, players must first find the broken shotgun elsewhere in the manor and replace it for the working before the nails reach them. Or, if they play like Jill Valentine, they can take the functioning shotgun and the lovely companion Barry Burton can turn in to save the day.
Considering Black Ops 6Easter eggs can only be achieved with a shotgun, and given Sam Colton Hall's general similarity to Spencer Mansion, it seems likely that this Easter egg is a nod for this iconic Resident evil moment.
Although it might be pure coincidence, this would not be the first time Customs calls has referred to Resident evil. Back below Call of Duty: Modern WarfareThe third season, players were able to unlock a special plan for the Renetti gun that made it look a lot like Albert Wesker's Samurai Edge gun.
Rewards to complete Shattered Veil's Resident Evil Easter Egg
After triggering Shattered Vils shotgun Easter eggs, players will be commissioned to eliminate a horde zombies with a specific field upgrade, which they will be able to identify by shooting the left deer head and observing the symbol it produces. When finished, their Marine SP -hail rifle will upgrade their rarity. Players can repeat this process several times and eventually upgrade the shotgun to their pack-a-punch form.
