Marvel Rivals: 8 heroes unlikely to be added

The Marvel universe is full of heroes, but some of their powers may be too much or too little to join the Marvel Rivals list.

Admittedly, these outfits vary massively in their overall quality, ranging from basic re-skins to drastic overhauls that completely change the character's design and aesthetic. From a visual standpoint, here's how each of the newest ones Marvel Rivals Skins match in terms of creativity and overall design.

10

Blue Tarantula – Peni Parker

A small re-skin that makes the penis a little more lively

While the Blue Tarantula may not be as flashy or interesting as many of the other skins in the Battle Pass, it can also be received without having to purchase the luxury Battle Pass itself, making it essentially a free unlock. The skin itself reverses some of Peni's original colors, turning her red and orange armor into a blue and green costume instead, which looks a little more vibrant.

Penny's own outfit also changes colors to match the blue color palette of the SP // DR costume, but outside of that the rest of the design is pretty much the same as normal. Still, it's a nice addition for those Peni players who want some extra customization options for their character, even if they're simply small changes like this.

9

Emporium Matron – Scarlet Witch

The Queen of Chaos dresses for the occasion

The biggest difference with the Emporium Matron skin is Scarlet Witch's hair, which changes from red to a pitch black. This creates an intriguing contrast when paired with the blood red and gold dress that the Queen of Chaos throws on, creating a much more eye-catching design compared to her original appearance.

Marvel Rivals Tier List (Best Marvel Rivals Characters, Ranked)

With 33 heroes at launch, Marvel Rivals has plenty of characters to choose from to try and win games. Here are all the heroes ranked best to worst.

It's clear that the designers at Netease focused on dark and fiery colors to feed into Scarlet Witch's personality and powers when creating this skin, and while it's not a massive overhaul, it's still jaw-dropping to look at. It is simply a good option for the dangerous duelist.

8

Blood Moon Knight – Moon Knight

Moon Knight's usual Bright White Cape turns moody black with his blood moon skin, allowing him to blend into the shadows while picking off his enemies from a distance. In keeping with the name, Moon Knight's Blades are bright red, with one even appearing on the logo, which can be seen on the back of his cape.

The Blood Moon Knight skin makes Moon Knight look like a real killer, and it's a real marvel to look at thanks to the clever use of color coordination and the little details scattered around the suit, giving the costume tons of personality.

7

Savage Sub -Mariner – Namor

Namor's regular outfit gets a serious upgrade with the Savage Sub-Mariner, a callback to his outfit change during Submarines Comic Series in the late 1960s. While Namor retains his pointy individual shoulder pad, he also gets a jacket covered in golden spikes and decorations, along with a large crown representing his dominance over humanity.

Even Namor's Trident gets a re-skin, with the edge turning from bronze to a shimmering blue, along with the opposite end changing to the same color. It's a small redesign, but it's one that manages to make Namor much more visually interesting from a design perspective.

6

Bounty Hunter – Rocket Raccoon

The Rockets will earn his salary, and he'll do it in style

Rocket gets a complete makeover with his shower hunter skin, with fur turning a deep ginger and his eyes turning bright red. However, that's just the tip of the iceberg in terms of differences, as the furry guardian also gets a bounty hunting outfit complete with a stylish hat, goggles and a raccoon hunter jacket.

Marvel rivals: hardest characters to master, ranked

Not every character in Marvel Rivals is easy for players to use. Here are the hardest to master in the game.

Netease really went above and beyond when designing this unique skin, and it's a real joy to watch in-game and serve as an example of how a skin can stand out without going overboard with bright and explosive colors. It also feeds nicely into Rocket's whole obsession with money and treasure, making for a very creative costume overall.

5

King Magnus – Magneto

Magneto's terrifying King Magnus skin shows off his royal status

Magneto easily outshines his opponents in terms of style as he battles the battlefield as King Magnus, the merciless king of Genosha. He puts his royal status on full display with his shiny gold and black royal garments, which are decorated with all manner of war medals and ornaments. Even the giant ring on Magneto's back, used for his ultimate attack, turns a bright gold, allowing him to dominate his enemies in style.

Magneto also looks much younger in this skin, but he still retains his signature scowl. King Magnus is a skin that somehow manages to make Magneto look even more terrifying. Of course, Netease knocked it out of the park with this one.

4

Blood Soul – Adam Warlock

Simple yet elegant, Blood Soul gives Adam Warlock an epic yet mysterious new outfit

It's not often that Healer characters in Shooter games will get skins as epic as this one for Adam Warlock. With a cape covering his shoulders and half of his face, Warlock looks like a mysterious but also dangerous wizard with this outfit equipped. He also gets a belt that's full of unique tools, books, and weapons, which are small but welcome additions that help make the fit even more detailed.

This is one of those skins that can convince a player to start learning the character just because of how cool it looks, and that's far from a bad thing considering how fun Adam Warlock's abilities are to use in the game.

3

Blood Berserker – Wolverine

Wolverine takes up the guise of a vampire hunter with Blood Berserker equipped

Netease has conjured up some incredibly unique and crazy designs for the original skins in the Marvel Rivalsbut Blood Berserker is a real standout, seemingly turning Wolverine into a Van Helsing-esque vampire hunter. There's so much to gawk at with this skin, whether it's the fashionable dark hat, the long buttoned jacket, or the small silver chain hanging from the mutant's waist. It's really hard to look away because of how effortlessly elegant Wolverine looks.

It's also an interesting change to make the hair long and gray, considering how it's usually seen with the signature spikes, but it works well with the gothic vibe that Wolverine has going for him here. As if Wolverine couldn't get scary, this skin is guaranteed to invoke fear into the enemy team anytime it appears.

2

Blood Edge Armor – Iron Man

Iron Man took some medieval inspiration when creating this suit

A truly unique design that fuses medieval knight armor with a futuristic mech suit, this skin feels like something out of an Iron Man fan's dreams and suffice it to say, it's a real feast for the eyes. There are lots of little details to look for with this skin, such as the skulls that appear on both the shoulder and knee pads and feed into the design aesthetic, but it also makes some big changes to Iron Man's basic suit as well. For example, his helmet becomes completely different.

A particular highlight is the bubbling red energy that can be seen shooting from Tony's visor and chest plate, adding even more vibrancy to Iron Man's latest suit. This season certainly cooked up something special for Iron Man fans, with this being arguably one of the best skins in the entire game so far.

1

All – Butcher – Loki

Loki's fusion with the original symbiote results in a terrifying but badass design

The evil trickster Loki already has a pretty eye-catching design with his bright green armor and sinister smirk, but he becomes almost demonic-like with his all-Butcher form, which sees him fuse with the primordial symbiote. When assuming this form, Loki acquires a skeletal set of armor with bright green energy emanating from the core.

By far the most noticeable aspect of the all-Butcher skin, however, is the symbiote, which can be seen curling around Loki's body and dripping from the tentacles of his shadows. When paired with the long horns that extend from the head, it results in a stunning skin that thankfully is the very first to be unlocked in the Battle Pass.
