Cooling fans are a rare recyclable material found in Technological areas in Arc Raiders. These are a bit rare, and after going through a variety of technical points of interest in search of them, we only managed to scrape together four or five fans. You need these as part of your caravan project for in-game prestige, so make sure you don't recycle any unnecessarily.
We think we've found one of the better places to raid cooling fans, and it's inside Space travel building on buried city. This is a great building for looting in general and part of our best loot spots guide, but there are also plenty of tech cabinets that can contain cooling fans.
Best place to find cooling fans
We've scoured various maps to find the best place to find cooling fans, and while some of the larger buildings at the Spaceport have good potential for fans, it's really Space travel building on buried city it's your best bet.
There are several floors here and each floor has rooms with these large pieces of technical machinery – they look a bit like server cabinets.
Each of these has a chance to drop a cooling fan when you break it and search inside it.
The space travel building Can be difficult to raid. There are several fireballs inside, and it's quite a contested area with many other raiders. While we usually recommend taking a free charge for these types of loot runs, the difficulty of the area means you'll probably need to bring some extra gear.
Don't forget to loot the room at the top of the building, on the sixth floor. This barricaded door has lots of loot inside, as well as extra server rooms to search for cooling fans.
