Annette is a vampire hunter from the island of Saint-Jomingue (in today's Haiti). With her companion, Edouard, she first appears and searches for a Belmont that is intended to stop the vampire Messiah. They go with Richter, Tera and Maria Renard in their fight against a tide of night creatures that threaten France. Her use of vodou in battle plays an important role in their battles.

Through her character arch, the viewers show the ruin of slavery. By using its connection to their ancestors as a way of controlling, Annette becomes strong enough to defeat her former champion Vaublenc and remain a key member of Belmont's team.

Jasuke

Yasuke is brought as a slave to Sengoku, Japan. After escaping captivity, he ends up in the service of Nobunaga Oda. He rises through Rangs of ODA's holder and is with him during his tragic case. Yasuke then chooses to take up an agriculture. But his newfound peace does not last long, and he will soon be forced to fight again.

His story is not just about an inspiring rise from slave to Samurai. It is also about dignity that shines through adversity. While anime includes some speculative elements, it does not remove the incredible story it tells about this historical figure.

A bit of a Maverick at first, the viewers will soon learn that there is more to Michiko than who meets the eye. These layers reveal themselves when they hunt for the freedom that was absent in both their lives. She really is the heart and soul of the series and a perfect contrast to Hana's innocence.

Afro is a man on assignment. After his father was carved in a duel, he swore to avenge his killing. He will stop at nothing to take down the carrier of the main headband and assert the right to be called the strongest. During his many battles, revenge is never far from his mind.

He represents two subcultures that were always distant linked: hip hop and anime. More than a man with a sword helped his devotion to his goal and Takashi Okazaki's classic design him to grow from a Doujin creation to one of the most beloved anime characters in the 2000s.

Sam is specially designed to be friendly and is a robot looking for help to find his friend, Prince Kelby. At the beginning of the show, she is stranded in the wilderness without anyone other than her colleague Robot Casey to retain her company. But her positive attitude eventually pays off when she meets Outlaw Philly the Kid and gets his help.

Sam's jovial behavior is often funny in violation of the situations she is in. Although Sam may not be street smart, she can keep her own against practically someone in a struggle. She is a great fighting and gag character who never stops being entertaining.

Ricardo Martinez was introduced as the World Featherweight Boxing Champion. Undefeated with 17 title defense to his name, his first match in the series was against the Japanese hopeful Eiji date. It does not go long before Ricardo generates Ippo Makunouchi while he saves and gives Eiji no chance in his title.

From the beginning, Ricardo was leagues ahead of his opponents. More than just a boxer, he is a proud representative of Mexico and an honest fighting. For other competitors, Ricardo is the perfect champion. No one comes close to beating him in anime, and in Mangan he remains undefeated 1,309 chapters after his debut.

Yoruichi Shihoin

The mysterious Yoruichi Shihoin is one of Kisuke Urahara's closest allies and a colleague Soul Society Rebel. Yoruichi is later revealed to be the former head of Gotei 13's second division and a noble from the Soul Society. She plays a role in helping Ichigo discovering her powers, saving Rukia and defending Karakura Town.

She can be brash and safe, but Yoruichi backs up her conversation with lots of dazzling features. Unlike other Shinigami, she does not use her Zanpakuto and relies on hand-to-hand fight in battle. Countless opponents have learned the harsh way that she should not be underestimated.

Street musician Carol Stanley wants to do it as a singer in Alba City. When she meets Runaway Tuesday Simmons, Carol finds someone to share her dream with. She will take Tuesday and the two soon agree to make music together.

Part of what makes Carol serve as a character is her empathy and insittering over Alba City. The hard life she lived to support her dream balances Tuesday's innocence. Almost all creative can empathic with Carol's struggle. It also helps that she and Tuesday make some of Anime's finest music. As a team, they make some of Anime's finest music.
