22 best roguelike -card game
Here are some of the best games in the ever -growing roguelike, tire -building, short -term genre.
Each has its own unique mechanics, cards and masters, and the combinations between them play out in interesting ways that can only be learned by trying all different cards. This beginner's guide covers some early strategies, some grounds in the game and how to beat your first federal levels.
How to get started
Already at the beginning you can choose which one two Clans you want to take on. You can choose one Primary clan and one Secondary clan.
Your primary clan will dictate which Master You get access to, as well as a selection of cards from that clan. You will also detect cards from your secondary clan while driving.
There are two Master Per clan, even if you do not have access to both in the beginning – you have to level up your clans by playing the game.
The tower
As well as a clan you can too Choose which pyre you want to use. Pere is the heart of your train – if it is destroyed you will lose the driving. The pyrna has different abilities and can be unlocked by completing runs and earning points.
Our absolute favorite pyrer is Lifmother's Pyre, like allows you to duplicate cards. We cover this more in -depth below, but we believe it is one of the strongest strategies in the game.
Random cards
At the beginning of the driving you get access to a set of random cards. These are usually two stick cards and a unit card, but the allocation is completely random driving.
It is important to note what random cards you get, as these will ultimately shape how your driving will play out. They will affect the early decisions you make – like which artifact and master upgrades to take – as well as how you want to build your tire during the race.
Game strategies
Monster Train 2 is about finding interesting synergies between your clans and cards. One of our favorite runs was to use Support To create a huge tower of mushroom guys with the endless health region. You can really break the game if you manage to pull off something special.
Here are some tips to help you get started creating the perfect tire.
-
Focusing on a couple of nuclear units is a good idea. It helps you start understanding some of the BUFF mechanics and let you experiment with different types of unit.
-
Usually you want a front lines (a unit with a lot of HP or armor) on the front of the floor, with injury dealers and buffers on the back line.
-
- Short -duplication is extremely powerful. You can use a merchant of magic to reduce the cost of your spell to zero, give it Cover (It returns to the top of your heap) and then duplicates it several times to fill your tire with powerful magic formulas.
- Short for direct injuries should not be overlooked. We have lost many runs because we lack cards as direct damage to the back line, which often heals their allies or debuff your cards. At least some Damage thesis is recommended.
-
Plan forward for the managers. You can structure your tire specifically to counteract the final boss, one of The three variations of Seraph.
-
Corruption sucks and must be counteracted with wasted units at the front.
-
The sweeping devices will split the entire floor – if you have squishy enemies behind your front lines, you might try to buff them with extra HP.
