Fans are calling out EA and Dice for a new skin Battlefield 6claims an in-game face mask is tearing off Call of Duty. Battlefield 6 sold more than 7 million copies within just three days of the game's release, easily becoming the fastest-selling game in the series. Battlefield 6 has also given fans tons of unique ways to customize their in-game characters for their multiplayer matches.

Battlefield 6 contains a plethora of skins for players to choose from, available both through the premium store and outside. Battlefield 6 released a pair of special skins to players who participated in the game's open beta, for both NATO's Coyote Squad Support and Pax Fireteam Vedmak Recon. Battlefield 2042s “Road to Battlefield 6” event even gave fans multiple skins for playing the franchise's previous games in the lead-up to Battlefield 6s release, including some new gun and character skins. But the fans are clamoring now Battlefield 6 to possibly tear off Call of Duty.

Fans believe that Battlefield 6 ripped off Call of Duty: Ghosts with New Skin

The Objective Ace skin, available with Battlefield 6The Season 1 Battlefield Pro pack has caught many fans off guard, with many claiming it steals assets from Call of Duty. The fan complaints revolve heavily around the skull design found on the skin, suggesting that Battlefield 6 stole the mask design from Call of Duty: Ghosts. A post shared to the official Battlefield subreddit compares the appearance of the mask side by side with Call of Duty: Ghosts logo, with the mask even with a crack in the same position as a split i Ghosts logo. Many fans have accused Battlefield 6 to use AI to create the design and pinpoint other deformities in similar areas of the skull.

Damn accusations of Battlefield 6 mask generated by AI wouldn't be the first time the game has seen similar claims. The Winter Offensive update saw similar fan accusations of potentially AI-generated artwork, with Battlefield 6s “Winter Warning” sticker specifically aimed at fans. While EA hasn't officially confirmed whether the sticker was made with AI, many have pointed to an earlier statement by DICE's Rebecka Coutaz, who referred to generative AI's potential as “very seductive.” Neither EA nor DICE has made an official statement about this Battlefield 6 the mask's similarities to Call of Duty: Ghosts logo.

Battlefield 6 has struggled since its blockbuster launch

While Battlefield 6 was one of the biggest releases of 2025, the game has seen its fair share of problems since launch. Battlefield 6s early problems continue after its overwhelming launch success, with the new skin adding even more controversy to the game.
