Some leaked pictures of Asus ROG Ally 2 Gaming Tablet, which included an adaptation Xbox Edition, has made the rounds on social media following official certification from the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The leaks also stated the Xbox edition of Asus ROG Ally 2 would contain an Xbox button and operated by 8-cores AMD Ryzen Z2 Extrem-processor.

Asus Rog Ally Gaming Handheld's range is marketed as a competitor to Valve's Steam Deck and allows users to play PC and Android games on the go and supports store fronts such as Steam and GOG. ROG Ally uses Windows 11 as the main operating system, with features such as Windows Hello and Windows Defender included to protect user safety. In 2024, Asus Rog Ally X was released, who saw the tablet's processor upgraded to AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme APU. Although rumors of an Xbox handheld disclosure that happens in 2025 were popular discussion topics with fans, Microsoft remained Coy on the subject.

The code name “Project Kennan” by Microsoft will the upcoming Xbox Surf plate have more powerful specifications than the white version of ROG Ally 2.

Xbox Rog Ally 2 will also include 64 GB LPDDR5X in the system memory, clocked at 8533 MHz. Both versions of ROG Ally 2 will have a 7-inch 120 Hz screen.
