A new duplication of effort spreads like wildfire ARC Raidersand the players are not happy about it. The new method may be the easiest yet, and it ARC Raiders community says it will kill the game if Embark Studios doesn't address it immediately. Raids are borderline unplayable at the time of writing, as players use the bug to duplicate items like Trigger Nades to repeatedly throw them at enemies, making PvP encounters massively unfair to those on the receiving end.
This isn't the first time a dubbing has taken over ARC Raiders. Although Embark had claimed to have fixed the issue in a new patch last month, it only took a few days for players to discover a new way to duplicate items like weapon blueprints and valuable trinkets, like the new Familiar Duck, which can be held in stacks of 15 and sells for $7,000 each. However, this method required players to use a mobile hotspot and disconnect and reconnect at the right time, which not everyone was willing to do. Unfortunately, there now seems to be a much easier method to go around, and the community is furious.
Yes, ARC Raider's biggest competition is indeed a 12 year old game
ARC Raiders is one of the best new games out there right now, but this 12-year-old hit shows what real longevity looks like.
ARC Raiders players furious over new duplication exploit
The ARC Raiders the community is currently in disarray, as a new duplication glitch makes raids borderline unplayable. As pointed out by many Reddit users, the exploit allows players to duplicate items such as Trigger Nades and spam them repeatedly. This makes playing on Stella Montis, which is a small-scale, PvP-heavy map, a living nightmare. For obvious reasons, we won't share the method of duplicating objects, but it's arguably the easiest so far, which means everyone is doing it. Users believe it will “kill the game” unless it's fixed by Embark immediately, with some players even calling for the studio to ban anyone caught using the exploit.
While a new ARC Raiders The update went live this morning, it didn't address the exploit that many were hoping for. There were many bug fixes included in patch 1.15.0, as well as a nerf to the Trailblazer Grenade, but the duplication bug is still possible at the time of writing. The good news, however, is that Embark seems to be aware of the problem. In response to the outrage at ARC Raiders Discord, a community manager said the studio is “aware of the duplication issue and we are actively working on a fix.” Unfortunately, no timeline has been shared for when a hotfix will be deployed, but fans are hoping to see it as soon as possible.
Regarding post-launch support, Embark Studios has been providing players with tons of new content to check out every month since launch ARC Raiders. Unfortunately, the community is becoming increasingly disappointed with the number of bugs and exploits that make their way into the game almost every week. While Embark has since addressed it, the studio took weeks to fix an exploit on Stella Montis that allowed players to go off-field and kill others without being seen. Each update that claimed to fix the out-of-bounds exploit was quickly met with a new method, but now anyone who misses their way out of the map can no longer harm other players.
Players are also calling for Embark to be stricter on cheaters ARC Raidersas the extraction shooter seems to be infected by them right now. The studio has since implemented a three-strikes ban system: first-time offenders are banned from ARC Raiders for 30 days, followed by a 60-day suspension for repeat offenders, and a permanent ban for those caught cheating three times. Embark has also recently made adjustments to Steam Family Sharing. Anyone banned from the game for cheating will also have the same restrictions that apply to all other accounts playing the game via Family Sharing.
