ARC Raiders Developer Embark Studios has responded to player backlash regarding the shooter's latest map mod, Bird City, by increasing its overall frequency to allow more fans to participate in the event. Those who have not had the opportunity to check out ARC Raiders' new Bird City map event on Buried City will now have the chance to do so, as the rotation schedule for the modifier has been greatly expanded.
Last month, Embark kicked off its 2026 roadmap with the new headwind update for ARC Raiders. The patch was available to all users for free and included tons of new content for the community to check out, including a new Bird City map modifier. This rotating event works similarly to the other modifiers in the game and appears periodically with a twist on the base map. As for Bird City, the event sees flocks of birds gather around Burried City's chimneys, allowing players to search their nests to find some valuable rewards. The event includes an increase in the amount of trinkets that spawn, as well as a greater number of Ziplines and birds around the map.

ARC Raiders fans are calling on Embark Studios to change a key aspect of the world map, arguing that its current design doesn't make sense.
ARC Raiders Increase Bird City Event Times
Unfortunately, despite being brand new to the game, the timing for Bird City left ARC Raiders fans quite disappointed. Many called it the “jobless event,” since the Bird City schedule meant that only those who didn't have a standard 9-5 job could check it out. Thankfully, Embark seems to have heard the complaints loud and clear, as it has now significantly increased the frequency of the event. After all map conditions mysteriously disappeared for a few hours last night, a community manager for Embark Studios took to the official ARC Raiders Discord and said, “Last night there was an issue with the map condition schedule. We just pushed an update that enables this week's schedule while also increasing the frequency of Bird City.” The new schedule for Bird City is now available below, courtesy of ARC Raiders Event timer.

Although Bird City is now available more frequently throughout the day, it is unclear whether Embark will keep the schedule permanently or reduce it later. The community manager's statement in Discord said that the studio plans to keep revising and try to find an all-weather schedule that gives all players a chance to play, regardless of their time zone.
Embark also revealed that there will be nothing new ARC Raiders update or store rotation this week, but players can look forward to a patch next week, Tuesday, February 10. It's currently unclear what will be included in next week's update, but fans have been calling for Embark to fix the duplication in ARC Raiders. Although the studio says they fixed the issue in an update last month, it didn't take long for players to replicate the bug and duplicate items like blueprints and the lucrative new Familiar Duck. Many players believe that the duplicate blueprints are ruining the game's meta and that Embark needs to release a fix as soon as possible.
Given that the new Headwinds update was only released last week, it's unlikely that next week's patch will feature any new content. However, Embark has confirmed as part of ARC Raiders 2026 roadmap that the new Shrouded Sky update will be released sometime this month. Included in the long-awaited update will be a new map state, which many speculate to be the rumored Toxic Swamp, as well as a new ARC threat, a new player project, a raider deck, a map update, and the game's second Expedition window.
