Since the second last story that contains a lot of protagonists, both from the demons and the demon's Slayer's sides, the Infinity Castle Arc will reveal many back stories that are once again quite tragic and surprising. So with that in mind, the following is each backstory that will appear in Infinity Castle Arc, ranked based on how interesting they are. Kaigaku

A dissatisfied demon slay

  • First look: Tomokazu Sugita

Kaigaku was a thunderous respiratory user, just like Zenitsu. In fact, he was actually a highly respected senior who had helped Zenitsu a lot during his training day. At that time, Zenitsu was considered a failure because he could only perform the first form of Thunder Breathing style: Thunderclap and Flash. Kaigaku, on the other hand, was able to perform all forms of a thunderstorm style, except the first.

Sanemi Shinazugawa

The reckless yet gentle hashira

Sanemi Shinazugawa is Wind Hashira and the older brother of Genya Shinazugawa. We already see a bit of his past through Genya's recovery in the previous bow, but the Infinity Castle arch will dive deeper into what happened after Sanemi was forced to kill his mother, which turned into a demon when they were young. After the terrible accident, Sanemi realized two important things. First, he has a special blood called “Marechi” that can attract and drunk demons. Secondly, to protect his little brothers and sisters from demons who may come for his blood, Sanemi had to leave his family behind.

Soon after, Sanemi met a Demon -layer named Masachika Kumeno, who not only introduced Sanemi to join Demon Slayer Corps, but also considered Sanemi to be his own little brother. Unfortunately, Masachika would later lose his life to an evil demon. Sanemi was determined to continue Masachika's legacy and gain more power so that he can protect his family at a distance and continued to work hard until he eventually became wind hashira.

Kokushibo

The pitiful life of the greatest demon's swordman

When he was still a human being Kokushibo was known as Michikatsu Tsugikuni, brother of the founder of Demon Slayer Corps, Yoriichi Tsugikuni. Michikatsu was a remarkable swordman, but he was not a match for his gender brother, who managed to invent respiratory style. Even Muzan Kibutsuji, the ancestors of all demons, almost lost his life in the hands of Yoriichi.

Doma

A cruel and privileged demon

Ever since he was born, Doma has had a life full of luxury and privileges as leader of Paradise Faith Religion, also known as the eternal paradise. His charming appearance attracted innocent and naive people to admire and even worship him. But after being in the leader for a fanatical cult since he was little, the judge stopped looking down at humanity and developing a psychopathic tendency.

It took a trip to the worse when he met Muzan Kibutsuji. Doma really had no connection to living as a human being at that point, so when Muzan offered her the chance to become a creature that surpasses humanity, he gladly accepted it. From that point, the judgment lived as the god he had pretended all this time. With his newfound power, he liked to perform impossible miracles for his loyal followers, just to consume them afterwards. Thus, life for the cruel and psychotic demon in history began.

Inosuke

The heartbreaking past in the wild animal

Many people believe that Inosuke was abandoned by his parents in the forest when he was little. But the truth was actually much more complicated than that. Inosuke's mother was a beautiful young woman named Kotoha. Unfortunately, his husband physically abused her and mentally so that she had to seek refuge in a well -known religious cult called the eternal paradise tro. Little did she know that it was actually Lair from a cruel demon called Doma.

Interestingly, a judge was imprisoned by Kotoha's beauty and amused her joy. That's why he was going to hold her around. But it didn't take long for Kotoha to realize that Doma actually a demon and he regularly consumed his followers' meat. Kotoha tried to escape, but to no avail. In front of her was a steep cliff, and behind her was the fast applicable judgment. In her desperation, she threw Baby Inosuke in the river and hoped that her beloved son would survive in some way. When Kotoha saw her child being removed by the creek, she felt that the cold hand of Domas penetrated her heart.

Shinobu Kocho

A vengeful Hashira

One of the reasons why Shinobu decided to become a demon layer and work as hard as she can to achieve rank as Hashira is to avenge her parents and her beloved older sister. Her parents were killed by a demon when they were young, but thanks to Gyomei Himejima, the sisters survived and entered the Demon Slayer Corps.
