Fans have spotted a job ad that may indicate MLB The Show is coming to PC in the near future. Several games from Sony-owned studios have already made their way to PC. PlayStation games like Helldivers 2 and God of War Ragnarok are available on Steam and don't always require a PSN account to play, after a recent change, either. Not all Sony franchises have left consoles, though, but if a new job posting is anything to go by, there could be at least one more franchise to follow the trend before long.

A PC version of the long-running baseball franchise would also make sense in light of PlayStation's live service ambitions. Games like MLB The Show and Helldivers 2 drove more than 40% of Sony's first-party software revenue in the most recent quarter, despite some live service titles not performing as intended. To give a success which MLB The Show to a wider audience could help Sony double down on its long-term goals and make a bigger splash with its live service games.
