Amazon Prime Gaming has 10 free games for January 2026

Amazon Prime Gaming has just confirmed that 10 PC games will be free to claim in January 2026 for anyone who subscribes to Prime. The list of 10 free Amazon Prime Gaming titles doesn't include too many heavy gamers, but it's a great opportunity for those who just got a PC during the holiday season to build their game library without having to spend a cent.

At the time of writing, Prime users can still claim a total of 22 games through Amazon Prime Gaming, including major titles such as XCOM 2, New stories from the borderland, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, LEGO 2K Driveand the first two Fall-out game. Users will need to act fast, however, as this new batch of 10 free games will gradually replace Amazon Prime Gaming's current collection of free PC titles.

Throughout January 2026, Amazon Prime Gaming is giving away 10 PC games for free to those with an active Prime subscription. Once claimed, these games are added to the user's library permanently, meaning they can still be played even if the user ends their Amazon Prime subscription.

By far the biggest game on the list is Civilization 6. Although it may turn 10 this year, Civilization 6 is still widely considered by many to be one of the best 4X strategy games currently available on PC, and is a must-have for those looking to build their PC library. While last year's Civilization 7 improved on a lot of Civ 6s formula, some fans believe it also went back in some way, leading some to believe so Civilization 6 is still the best the franchise has to offer.

Civilization 6 might be the heaviest hit on Amazon Prime Gaming's free games for January 2026 list, but there are plenty of other experiences worth checking out. D&D Stronghold: Kingdom Simulatorfor example, is over 30 years old but its fun mix of real-time city building and Dungeons and dragons IP can be exactly what some Stranger Things fans are looking to follow the season 5 finale. Then there is Technotopiaanother city builder, but one with a unique deck building twist.

At the opposite end of the game genre spectrum is Elderborna hardcore first-person melee game with a dark fantasy aesthetic, which itself is very different from a game that Reflections of Life: Dark Architecta point-and-click puzzle adventure. While the games listed above will all be available to hold on specific PC platforms, there are also 13 games being added to Amazon Luna in January 2026. For those who don't know, Amazon Luna is a cloud gaming service that can be accessed via supported mobile devices, PCs, Macbooks, and even some smart TVs. The games added to Amazon Luna can only be played via the cloud, which means that game performance may vary depending on the user's internet speed.
