For many years, there have been all kinds of video -playing events that occur every month. From developer -focused conferences such as GDC to large conventions such as Gamescom or PAX, there is always something that happens.
Even after the unfortunate loss of Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), there are still many events where players get the chance to learn about upcoming editions and even try them on certain occasions. 2025 has lots of events that are already scheduled, so if you want to learn more about when certain events take place, you will discover it below.

2025 Calendar for Video Games Released Date
2025 forms to be one of the greatest years in video game history -here is all we know so far about the game publishing date next year.
Updated June 1, 2025 by Paul Woodward: Summer is an exciting time for both the industry and the players. This is usually the time of year when all kinds of games are announced and upcoming games receive updates from developers. Instead of the E3, publishers and developers now have their own special events where they put the limelight on their upcoming titles. In addition to the Summer Games party, there will also be an Xbox showcase and PC Gaming Show about the same time.
When more events are announced, they will be included here.
January 2025 events
At the beginning of this year, a couple of major events are underway. First was the Consumer Entertainment Show (aka CES) which went from January 5 to January 10. The second event is the 14th annual New York Game Awards on January 21.

February 2025 events
For February, there are not many events that are going on besides Dice Summit 2025, which is an important event for professional game developers. The Dice Awards ceremony is also part of this event. Steam Next's party at the end of the month will give players a chance to check out demonstrations of upcoming games.

March 2025 events
Like February, March is much more professional game developer who focuses than later months. When it comes to coverage, you will often be able to find recordings of panels and workshops from GDC in places like Youtube. Presentations are not intended for the public, but they are fantastic to anyone who is interested in learning more about game design.

April 2025 events
In addition to some smaller events around the world, two well -known events occur in April. The first is the BAFTA Game Awards, and then there is the second annual Gamescom Latam later this month. For Nintendo fans, April will be particularly exciting as there will be a Nintendo -Direct which will be about Nintendo Switch 2. There will also be some opportunities for players to get hold of Nintendo Switch 2 at some upcoming events that Nintendo is worth.

In addition to Gamescom Latam, Pax East has moved to May this year as opposed to Mars. There is not a schedule for PAX East yet, but you want to keep an eye on the site if you are interested in participating. Summer is when many of the major events occur. The E3 has been replaced with streamed events run by the publishers themselves, and there is also Geoff Keighley's summer game party, which is a great opportunity to hear about upcoming games. Two days after that, Microsoft will reveal more about upcoming Xbox games at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 8th.

A significant summer event in July is none other than the iconic San Diego Comic Con. Although it was originally started as a convention that was about series, it has since expanded and there have been many a panel about video games over the years.
