Alice in Borderland Season 3: characters confirmed to return

The last season of Alice in Borderland Is just around the corner, and fans of the show flock in to break down the trailer to get as many details and secrets as possible. One of the biggest questions about the show is how many of the original characters will return and what role they will play in the next round of games.

There is not a huge amount of information about all role members, but from the teaser and the further confirmed details it is clear that several familiar faces will return during the next season, some expected and others more surprisingly.

Spoiler Warning: Large spoilers for seasons one and two of Alice in Borderland.

Confirmed not returning: Shuntaro Chishiya & Hikari Kuina

Although it may come as sad news for fans of the show, two of the most iconic and beloved characters will unfortunately be absent from the show's last season. Neither Kuina nor Chishiya will be present in season three, as both actors have their own personal priorities to deal with and thus chose not to repeat their roles.

It is a pity, because everyone brought with them a little extra feeling and intrigue that filled in the main group's cracks: Chishiya with her fast intellect and Kuina with her heart of gold. There may be opportunities for other characters to return, but as far as is known, these are the two most important ones that will be absent in the future.

Oki yaba

Takes pole position to orchestrate the evil

Oki Yaba is an average work that was only short in season two during the Jack of Hearts game. In the short time, he showed a level of cunning that allowed him to clear the prison and make it alive, even though it meant to make some sacrifices along the way.

At the end of the season, he, together with Sunato Banda, decided to stay in the boundaries and gain an unknown control and power over their future. During the trailer of the season three, he again appears in a leading position. Although his exact commitment and intentions are still quite gray, it is obvious that he will not take the side of Arisu and Usagi. Instead, he will serve as one of the most important antagonists for the two to compete against.

Rizuna Ann

Strength that goes beyond the countries

Ann is easily one of Alice The fan base's favorite characters. She is strong, determined and stopped at nothing until she and the others were free from hell that are the boundaries. During season two, she is brutally injured during one of the final games, but turns out to make it alive and returns to the real world along with many of the characters attacked by the King of Spades.

As has been revealed, some characters will return to Borderlands, but it is not yet known if Ann will be one of them. Only from the trailer there seems to be no indication that Ann will be one of the former players who jump back to the playground and can instead play a role outside. All that can really be said is that she is still on the good side and will want to help Arisu as much as possible.

A new villain joins in the battle

Sunato was a SLU and worrying character during season two, which had much more screen time than expected during the prison. He used his intellect to systematically derive himself through the game and to make it all the way to the end, and showed that he has lots of tricks in the sleeve to help him through the dangerous journey.

The decision to stay was really a shocking, but season three reveals that he and some other characters are now in much larger positions to control and may even create their own games. Whatever the specifications can be, he is prepared to be the most important antagonist in the last season, with his background and cunning to deliver so much pain and suffering for competitors again.

Yuzuha Usagi

Returning to the countries one last time

Usagi is Arisu's second half in the show, and through several games together their connection has only become stronger. Despite some close conversations and some tough decisions, the two remained and managed to make it alive. They eventually meet in the real world without remembering the events in Borderlands.

The latest trailer shows that not only the two together again, but they are now in a much more intimate relationship that has gone as far as commitment. From what has been revealed, Usagi's story will continue as she returns to the world again and is forced to go through the torment again. Whether Arisu will be able to save her and do it once again is to see. Hopefully there is a happy ending to the horizon for the star -crossed lovers.

The leading man himself

It would not be Alice in Borderland Without an Alice, and Arisu have done a good job of working his way through the games despite his lack of real skills. Losing friends and acquaintances on the road, the torture he has undergone knows no limits. Being able to leave and start a better life is a reward that someone would say he deserves.

The most interesting part about his role during the next season is how he gets back in the games as a way to try to save Usagi. It is clear that in any way he has to play through a series of dangerous games and compete not just for his own life, but his lover. If he manages to do it again, it will be something other than a miracle, but the viewers have to wait and see how his story ends in the border lands.
