This article contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen series.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is on a pretty impressive run at the moment, and with each passing chapter, fans are introduced to some incredibly exciting characters. Gege Akutami has managed to introduce fans to a plethora of new characters, but he also hasn't forgotten the old generation characters that made the series as great as it is today.
After two years, Gege Akutami is set to kill the new biggest JJK character
JJK Modulo's new big character has big death flags. The death of this character will change the trajectory of the story.
Fans have been waiting a long time for the introduction of characters like Yuji Itadori, especially since it was confirmed that he is alive and well. Although Yuji is not properly back in the story, another character has now been brought back by Gege Akutami, and it is none other than Rika, the Queen of Curses.

Rika returns in the new JJK Modulo chapter
When Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo began, fans were surprised to see that a massive time jump had taken place. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo takes place 68 years after the completion of the Sukuna raid, where Yuji Itadori defeated the King of Curses for good. The fact that this new story took place many decades after meant that the vast majority of the series' main cast had already died. This would also mean that Gege probably wouldn't introduce too many new characters into the plot. Against all odds, however, Gege managed to tease characters from the old generation from time to time.
In the very first chapter, Gege Akutami reintroduced Gojo Satoru, Yuji Itadori, Yuta Okkotsu and even Maki Zenin into the story. Of course, not all of them returned to the plot as characters to drive the story forward, but some certainly had the potential, like Yuji. In both cases, it was pretty clear for the fans to see Gege Akutami was clearly intent on slowly incorporating the characters of the old generation into the plotespecially where it made sense. This is exactly why Yuji Itadori is so important to the overall plot of JJK Modulo at the moment.
It must also be remembered that as Modulo nears its end, these old generation characters will only become more relevant, and as the final battles have now begun, fans are waiting for the legends of the old era to emerge. Of course, the likes of Yuta and Maki can't appear because they're already dead. Nobara is incredibly old to be able to do anything, and Megumi is most certainly dead by now. The one character that fans are waiting for right now is Yuji Itadori, the current new strongest generation wizard. But many fans also forget about another important character, Rika.
Rika is the Queen of Curses and one of the most powerful characters from the original JJK series. Against all odds, Rika has now officially appeared in JJK Modulo and she is here to stay for the final battle against Maru.
Rika is officially back in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo

Rika was meant for Yuka Okkotsu

She has now bonded with Tsurugi Okkotsu
The Queen of Curses, Rika, was a very important part of the original JJK series. In fact, Gege Akutami actually wrote Rika into the story before JJK even started, given that she actually comes from JJK0, the prequel to Jujutsu Kaisen. Rika and Yuta had a very strong connection with each other, and this was largely due to the love they shared. As fans know, Yuta cursed Rika, but she later went on to become his source of power. With the power of Copy at their disposal, Yuta and Rika formed a formidable duo unmatched by many in the story of JJK.
Their true power was shown in the major battles that came later in the story, such as the clash against Ryomen Sukuna in the Shinjuku Showdown arc. With Rika, Yuta was clearly a threat. Even Sukuna came to admire him at the end, and it was truly a true display of his strength.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Gege Akutami officially kills off his main character
JJK's sequel marked the beginning of a new era for the series. The death of Gege's protagonist is now official.
Ah, this sucks. You really took after her. But I will help you because I promised Yuta that I would. Say I accept, and I'll help you. — Rika to Tsurugi Okkotsu in JJK Modulo
Now, 69 years later, Rika is officially back. In JJK's latest chapter, fans saw Tsurugi overpowered by Maru in battle after his full awakening. Maru was clearly going to kill Tsurugi at this point, and that's it Rika decided to eavesdrop. Rika forced Tsurugi to accept his powerand when he did, the two seemed to merge. This is a new form of power that Rika seems to have unlocked at some point, and maybe even Yuta gained access to this form. Regardless now, Tsurugi has access to Rika's power, and fans finally have a new look at the Queen of Curses in JJK Modulo.
Rika can become Tsurugi's permanent power
When JJK Modulo officially started, it was pretty clear for fans to see it Rika was actually a power-up meant for Yuka Okkotsu. Yuta himself entrusted Rika to Yuka, and Tsurugi did not want to inherit her power at all, considering that he was more interested in following in Maki Zenin's footsteps. Yet, in a twist of fate, Rika's power has now become Tsurugi's. It is still unclear if Rika is permanently bonded to Tsurugi now or not. In fact, Rika was accepted by Tsurugi, and usually, once a bond is formed, it is not broken.
That said, things can change drastically later on after the final battle. After all, Yuka was the one who was promised Rika's power. If Yuka manages to survive, Rika will likely go to her. On the other hand, if Yuka really does die, then it's pretty obvious that Tsurugi will continue to hold on to her powers. At the moment, the chances of Rika becoming Tsurugi's permanent power are very high.
Yuta's wish was for Rika to move on to Yuka Okkotsu
As far as Yuta's own wishes go, fans know that he entrusted Rika's power to Yuka. This must be important to the story as Yuta quite clearly knew both of his grandsons. He really loved Tsurugi too, and that goes without saying. Even so, he knew it this power was more suitable for Yuka Okkotsu. For some reason, Yuta made this important decision, and it had to lead to something later. It would actually be very strange if Yuta didn't mention protecting Yuka to Rika.
Rika even mentioned in the last chapter of JJK Modulo that Yuta promised her that she wouldn't let any of his grandchildren get hurt.. In such a case, it's quite strange why Rika hasn't helped Yuka Okkotsu with her brain tumor yet. Maybe it's a plot point that will be explored later, once Rika bonds with Yuka Okkotsu. Either way, fans absolutely can't wait to see what comes next in JJK Modulo.
