One thing that all fans of A bit Will know very well is that it is a series that does not exactly like to kill characters so often. Still, if it seems important to history, ODA is more than happy to remove someone from the action if that is what needs to be done. Unfortunately for the straw captain, some of these individuals have been Luffy's good friends.

For the most part, these characters are killed for their own reasons, such as being notorious pirates or to get a little too close to the world government, but others have been taken out as a way to get back on Luffy himself. Either way, Luffy has already lost a handful of comrades and friends during the course of A bit story, and this is the harmful individuals who gave the last battle.

Perospepero

Perospepo forces Pedro to make the ultimate sacrifice

As the oldest member of Big Mom's Pirate Crew, Perosperspero has plenty of experience in fighting everyone who is trying to get on the bad side of him and his mother. His ability to create candy from thin air, which he likes to use as a way to create weapons, made him a significant threat to the straw hats during their invasion of the entire Cake Island.

While the crew is about to save Sanji, Perosperspeo threatens to take them down all for good before they can even reach him. It is until Pedro goes in and bravely sacrifices his own life on behalf of his newfound friends. Luffy had created a warm relationship with Pedro since he first met him back at Zou, so seeing him being forced into this difficult situation by the evil Perosperso was a real intestinal punch for not only him, but the entire straw hat. Luffy would be too busy with Kaido and Big Mom in Wano Arc to put his view of revenge on Perospepero, but it was still clear that he had a bubbling hatred against him considering what went down on the whole of Cake Island.

Kizaru

Admirals unwillingly killed the greatest scientist in the world

Although Vegapunk can be much smarter than Luffy could ever hope to be, this does not stop exactly the Stråhatt captain from becoming love and admiring the world's largest scientist. After going to Egghead Island, Luffy can spend some time with Vegapunk, where he not only learns about his lifestyle on Egghead, but also his personal passion to make the world a better place through the gift of science.

Unfortunately, they would only get a few scenes here and there to interact until Marines ordered a full-scale Buster call and started an invasion on Egghead Island with the goal of murdering Vegapunk. In the end, it would be none other than Vegapunk's old friend Kizaru who ended the researcher's life, but thankfully Luffy could land some hits on Kizaru before he got away.

BlackBeard

BlackBeard took Whitebeard's life just hours after Luffy first met him

While Whitebeard had already taken up an astonishing number of injuries and wounds during the MarineFord War, it was ultimately Blackbeaard and his crew that were the ones that ended him. In classic BlackBeard -Mode, the dangerous pirate swept into the last minute war to take out his former captain so he could then steal his devil fruit.

At this point in the conflict, Luffy was already upset by emotions because he witnessed his brother Ace's death, so he would only learn about Whitebeard's death a bit when he talked to Rayleigh. Luffy and Whitebeard may have come off on the wrong foot, but as the war continued it became clear that they came to a great respect for each other, with Luffy who admired the man who put his own life on the line to save ESS. Therefore, while Luffy already has a great disdain for BlackBeard and everything he stands for, this was only reinforced when he heard the news of Whitebeard's death.

Imu

Imu removed cobra from existence after realizing he knew too much

The mysterious creature that is known as IMU first appeared under the reverie arch, and although it is clear that this individual is the world's leader, and ultimately the world in general, the exact details of their identity are still a mystery. As a result, they have only taken some important measures so far throughout history, but one of the most remarkable was when the only killed Cobra, the King of Alabasta.

Cobra and Luffy had become unlikely friends after the straw hats helped to stop the civil war in Alabasta, with Cobra as appreciative as Luffy not only saved the country but also his daughter Vivi. The truth, however, is that Cobra simply knew too much about Imu and dim dose, and after realizing this IMU decided that it was only right to eliminate him so that he could not spread his knowledge. Luffy already has more than a few reasons to hate IMU, but the murder of Cobra is definitely a big, especially considering that it also involved Sabo.

Iskoin

Akainu destroyed Luffy and Ace's Dream of A Happy Ever After

Although they were apart for the majority of history, Luffy and Ace still maintained a buns solid friendship that has remained intact since they were young. After sharing a drink together, the boys proclaimed brothers who would always have each other's back, no matter how difficult things became, so when Ace was captured by the marinas and set up to be executed, Luffy would give everything to prevent this tragedy from taking place.

Just as it seemed as if Luffy and Ace could finally get away in one piece, Akainu began to mock Ace's captain, Whitebeard, to his face to attract him back in one last time. With Akainu that shoots a magma-covered fist through Ace's chest, he manages to kill the young pirate with a single attack, leaving Luffy an emotional wreck that can barely even stand. Ace's death had a huge impact on Luffy as a person, and it has gone very far to help him mature and realize the danger that the world constitutes for him and his crew, but the mark on his chest acts as a constant reminder of the Navy who took his brother from him in first place
