The expansion looks to include dozens of Pokemon that made their debuts in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl when it releases later this month.
Space-Time Smackdown Expansion is coming to Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket
Unlike Genetic Apex, Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket's debut expansion, three booster pack choices, Space-Time Smackdown will only have two, one centered around Dialga and the other Palkia.
The generation's two legendary Pokémon will each receive an ex card in the game.
Steel-type Dialga ex will have 150 HP and two moves: Metallic Turbo, which does 30 damage and lets you attach two Metal energies to a benched Pokémon, and Heavy Impact, which hits for 100 damage out of four total energies.
Palkia will have a water-type ex card, again with 150 hp. Its first move, Slash, deals 30 damage from one energy, and its second, Dimensional Storm, deals 150 damage to the active Pokemon and 20 damage to each of the opponent's benched Pokemon for four energy, three of which must be discarded. It will likely be a Gyarados competitor, with Palkia having the added advantage of not needing to evolve.
Other cards revealed in the set include Turtwig, Chimchar and Piplup, Diamond and Pearl's three starters, Pachirisu ex, Leafeon, Honchkrow, Gible, Cresselia and a brand new Cynthia card, hinting that Garchomp and Togekiss cards will also be added .
The video reveals that the expansion will be live in less than a week, releasing on Wednesday, January 29, with trading finally coming to the game the day before.
With Mythical Island, a mini-expansion, having such an impact on the game's meta, it will be interesting to see how it develops with Space-Time Smackdown.
