Shonen trap waiting to level solo

There is a common Shonen trap that Solo Leveling could fall into with its upcoming season.

The first season focused on Jinwoo's journey from a helpless E-Rank hunter to someone who can hold his own against the wild prison monsters. The second season is about his unstoppable rise to the height of power, S-Rank Hunter. As such, there will be quite a few new characters introduced in the new season. Out of all of them, here are 8 characters that will shine the most. By the way, since this information is based on the original web series, there will be some minor spoilers ahead. Solo Leveling: The Guilds, Explained

Guilds are an integral part of the Solo Leveling world. Here's a closer look at how they work.

Like Choi Jong-In, we won't get to see Baek Yoonho unleash his full power in season 2. As mentioned earlier, he appears mostly in his capacity as Guild Master, especially in his attempt to recruit Sung Jinwoo into his guild. That said, we will get a glimpse of Baek Yoonho's white beast power during his skirmish with another S-Rank hunter, Hwang Dongsoo.

Cha Hae-In

S-Rank Vice Guild Master of the Hunters Guild

Cha Hae-In

There is even an argument to be made that she is actually stronger than her guild master, Choi Jong-In. That said since Cha Hae-In is a fighter who specializes in swordplay, her role is different from Choi Jong-In the heavy hitters, so it's actually hard to compare the two.

Cha Hae-In will appear around the same time as Choi Jong-In. However, unlike his guild master, Cha Hae-In is more interested in Sung Jinwoo as a person, not as a hunter. We won't get to see her use all her powers in Season 2, but we will get a chance to see Cha Hae-In demolish monsters in a dungeon.

Although he is still an S-Rank, Go Gunhee is no longer active in the front line. His focus is on nurturing and regulating the countless active hunters in South Korea. In Season 2, Go Gunhee is one of the first to recognize Sung Jinwoo's power.

His first true Shadow Solider is none other than Igriss, the Red Knight. Igriss will have a much more prominent role during Jinwoo's increasingly dangerous dungeon dives in Season 2. Not only that, Jinwoo will be adding more reliable Shadow Soldiers to his army, such as Iron the Warrior, Tank the Mad Beast, and Tusk the Fearsome Mage.
