The popular romantic anime, Skip and Loaferhas big news for fans. After winning over audiences in 2023, the anime's second season has been officially confirmed. With this announcement, Skip and Loafer fans can rest easy because one of their favorite anime will be returning.

At the time of writing, there is no confirmation on the anime's release date, so it may be a while before the second season starts airing. The official X account (formerly Twitter) for Skip and Loafer also posted special artwork by Misaki Takamatsu to celebrate the announcement.

Written by Misaki Takamatsu, Skip and Loafer began serialization in Kondansha's Monthly Afternoon in August 2018. The Skip and Loafer manga has sold more than 2.3 million copies. Although the number is not too impressive, Skip and Loafer has already found a loyal fan base. Needless to say, another season of the anime will improve sales figures. Skip and Loafer won the 47th Kodansha Manga Award in the general category, proving it's beloved by critics.

Skip and Loafer's anime adaptation was announced back in November 2021. The anime started airing in April 2023, and it ran for 12 episodes. The second season of the anime will likely have the same number of episodes.

Skip and Loafer follows Mitsumi Iwakura who transfers to a high school in Tokyo. She is not used to the hustle and bustle of city life. On the day of the entry ceremony, she gets lost. Luckily, Sōsuke Shima sees her and decides to help. After this incident, the two go to school together every day.
