Xbox Game Pass will lose ten games later today, July 15th. It's not all bad news, though, as Microsoft previously signaled that the upcoming wave of Xbox Game Pass departures would be even bigger.
As is often the case, the July 15 removals appeared in the Xbox app at the beginning of the month, before Microsoft officially announced them. These early lists again proved not to be entirely accurate, as they identified 12 Xbox Game Pass departures.
The list of upcoming Xbox Game Pass removals is shorter than expected, but still long
According to the Xbox Game Pass Wave 1 lineup for July 2026, the upcoming departures span just over ten games in total. The list includes Golf with your friends, Whiskerwoodand PowerWash Simulatortogether with Stellaris, Techtonicsand EA Sports FC 24. Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and Minami Lane also leaves the next one, as it is Dungeons of Hinterberg. The last title in the removal wave is Splitgate: Arena reloads. As it is free to play, withdrawing from Xbox Game Pass only means that subscribers lose access to certain exclusive membership benefits.

Minami Lane is a hand-drawn management sim that was originally added to Xbox Game Pass in July 2025. It was not on the list of the 12 titles believed to be leaving earlier this month, with its departure only formally confirmed as part of the July 2026 Wave 1 roadmap.
Meanwhile, two titles previously listed as departing soon will remain on the service for now: Back to the dawn and My friendly neighborhood. Based on Microsoft's usual practices, there is a realistic chance that both will still depart in the near future and were simply listed prematurely.
Xbox Game Pass already has a slew of confirmed releases for the second half of the month, although its Wave 2 lineup has yet to be announced. The upcoming titles include open world BMX games Mavrix by Matt Jonesfuturistic roguelite Joint piercerand colorful co-op extraction platformer FixForce. The Planet Crafter and Halo: Campaign Evolved are also slated to hit Xbox Game Pass before the end of the month, on July 21st and July 28th, respectively.
