Five Nights at Freddy's Freddy Fazbear Animatronic Revealed by Spirit Halloween

Halloween may be more than three months away, but devoted fans of the spooky holiday think about it year-round. That's why Spirit Halloween's signature animatronic for 2026, an officially licensed full-size Freddy Fazbear, is already on display.

Five Nights at Freddy's leading mascot will be haunting lawns and scaring kids in real life, not just through video games and movies, across North America this year thanks to the new animatronics. The first clip of Freddy the robot in action was shared by not_ur_average_j0e. If you want to see it in the flesh – or the fur – you can do so by visiting Spirit Halloween's flagship store, where the animatronics are currently on display.

Now that the live Freddy Fazbear decoration has been revealed, it's only a matter of time before it starts showing up at Spirit Halloween locations across the US, so I wouldn't go too far out of your way to visit it in the video. If you're planning to make it part of your own Halloween setup this year, though, the prize might be scarier than Freddy himself.

Freddy's Animatronic costs $500

To become the proud owner of a Freddy Fazbear animatronic, you must drop $500. On the bright side, that's a lot less than what a brand new PS5 or Series X|S costs these days. Unlike those consoles, however, the animatronic cannot play Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach.

As the FNAF movies have shown, fans of the series will be happy with pretty much anything, as long as it's officially connected to Freddy's universe. For the most part, that seems to be the case for these life-sized animatronics. However, there are some elements that fans have taken issue with.

The squeak is the biggest complaint people seem to have. You can hear Freddy crunching in the video, which takes away from the intended fear factor. It also appears to be the only audio, although there may be voice recordings that simply weren't captured during the short clip.

The animatronics also don't seem to come with the stage set Spirit Halloween has used as a show. That $500 just gets you a big ol' robotic Freddy with glowing eyes that will wave at trick-or-treaters as they walk up your path for some free candy. If neither the price nor the problems people have with the animatronic bother you, then Freddy can be yours for $500 this spooky season.
