Yuta's 7 Strongest Innate Techniques, Ranked

Of all the innate techniques introduced during the story of Jujutsu Kaisenthere are only a handful that can be considered truly game-changing, allowing the user to achieve reality-shattering feats. Yuta's Copy is one of these powerful abilities, as it not only gives him a huge amount of cursed energy, but also access to the powers of other fighters.

His skills made Okkotsu not only one of the most powerful wizards in history, but also an important member of the team that took down Ryomen Sukuna. Yet, while Yuta has access to a virtually unlimited number of techniques, fans are only aware of a handful. These abilities, while all useful for combat, do not share the same strength, with some being far more overpowering than others.

G Warstaff could give the user brief glimpses of the opponent's future

First used by aspiring manga writer Charles Bernard, this mesmerizing ability takes the form of a spear with a blade surrounded by feathers. By itself, this weapon has no other ability, and its true power reveals itself after drawing blood from the opponent. Once this condition is met, the spear grants the user the ability to see the target's immediate future, allowing the wielder to anticipate enemy movements and plan accordingly.

Yuta gained this ability after Bernard was defeated by having Rika consume part of the original user. G Warstaff helped the heroes predict a couple of Sukuna's moves, allowing them to avoid what could have been fatal attacks at the start of the battle. Regrettably, as proven by both the battle against Bernard and later Ryomen, this skill does not give the user any sort of advantage against opponents with a much higher combat ability. While a fighter can see the next attacks coming, if they are noticeably weaker than the opponent, they will still lose.

Dhruv's Shikigami created an almost impenetrable barrier against ordinary fighters

Shikigamis are by far one of the most exciting parts of Jujutsu Kaisen universe, act as powerful and often terrifying spirit servants that aid their owner in battle. Many techniques across the franchise specialize in the use of these creatures, such as that used by the eerie Dhvruv. His unnamed ability relied on summoning several rat-like and lizard-like flying Shikigami that would move around the field in a sphere pattern. Although not dangerous on their own, since these creatures never attacked the opponent, they were a huge threat.

Anything that touched or tried to cross the trail of these creatures would be instantly cut to pieces. The radius of this attack was not significantly large, but it was more than enough to trap opponents or prevent direct attacks. Yuta used this technique against Kurourushi and Uro with great effectiveness. Still, against opponents like Sukuna, this ability wouldn't have helped much, as the movement patterns of Shikigami are easily predictable and a strong opponent can destroy them quickly.

Cursed speech was as powerful as it was dangerous to use

Although it is powerful, one of the main reasons is that Jujutsu Kaisen the world doesn't feel as terrifying to fans as others found in history's best shonen are due to the heavy restrictions that come with most innate techniques. If not for this, abilities like Inumaki's Cursed Speech would be completely broken, as it allows the user to imbue their words with Cursed Energy, causing those who hear them to obey the commands. This could be something as simple as ordering them to tell the truth, causing their death by ordering their bodies to shut down.

While extremely powerful and versatile, this technique comes with serious consequences for the caster, as using innately strong commands or targeting powerful opponents causes great damage to the user's body, up to complete loss of voice or even death. The heavy drawbacks of Cursed Speech make this technique a last resort for Yuta, as abusing its power can be disastrous for the wizard. As such, he often prefers to rely on other copied Innate Techniques, a sensible decision that prevents him from becoming incapacitated too quickly.

Brain Transmutation gave the user access to extremely powerful techniques

More often than not, Innate Techniques are considered powerful based on how much damage they can deal to an opponent. Still, sometimes the true strength of an ability lies in how much benefit it can give the caster, and there is no better example of this concept than the brain transmutation ability demonstrated by Kenjaku. This ancient sorcerer remained one of the most feared figures in the world Jujutsu Kaisen thanks to his ability to transplant his brain into any body of his choosing.

By doing so, the villain can gain access to both the physical attributes and the innate technology of the person possessed. The most notable example of this technique being used was the ancient sorcerer who took over Suguru Geto's body to gain his cursed spirit manipulation. Yuta would later use this ability to take over Gojo's body, allowing him to use Limitless and Six Eyes, which were crucial during the final attack on Sukuna.

3

Sky Manipulation turned reality into a living weapon

One of the properties that make Jujutsu Kaisens universe that is so delightful to fans are the many fascinating ways in which Innate Techniques can manipulate or interact with the environment. A perfect example is Uro's Sky Manipulation ability, which allowed her to directly interact with the space between anything, called the sky, to either change the direction of attacks, disorient opponents, or even cause massive shockwaves. She could do this by grasping an area of existence, which would be folded around her fingers like a sheet, and either move it around or break it.

Although not among the strongest innate techniques ever, as there are several with abilities far more devastating, this skill was strong enough to cause trouble for Yuta, one of the few special class wizards. Yuta would later go on to absorb this technique, which proved crucial to Sukuna's defeat during the final part of the battle. Thanks to the Thin Ice Break attack, where the user breaks the sky around the opponent to generate a massive repulsive force, Sukuna was severely injured.

2

Tech quenching was the ultimate counter to powerful wizards

First introduced during the Culling Game Arc of the series, Angel was presented as an ancient force for good whose main goal was to hunt wizards who refused to pass peacefully. Her primary ability, Technique Extinguishment, was the perfect tool to achieve this goal, as it could completely nullify the powers of any target. Its most powerful manifestation was known as Jacob's Ladder, a massive pillar of light that burned away all cursed energy.

This technique was crucial for the heroes to achieve victory during the final battle against Sukuna, as it could both nullify the cruel villain's oppressive abilities and also cause direct damage to its soul, which was attached to his fingers. Yuta was able to use this technique in the final moments of the battle to give Yuji and his allies a chance to beat Ryomen. Despite its non-lethal nature, Angel's powers proved to be one of the best tools a wizard could ever have.

1

Shrine's destructive abilities have no equivalent in Jujutsu Kaisen

Ryomen Sukuna, the main villain of the entire franchise and one of the most cruel wizards to ever walk the earth, was a man whose mere name was more than enough to cause panic. His power, fighting ability and mastery over Cursed Energy was only comparable to near divine fighters like Gojo Satoru. As such, it's no surprise that his innate technique, Shrine, was so overpowered. This ability allowed Sukuna to unleash devastating slashes that could destroy anything in a large radius.

This technique was ridiculously strong due to its ability to cut through almost any defense, and no need to use a point of contact. Sukuna could just fire his slashes from afar and destroy entire blocks without any effort on his part. Yuta acquired this ability thanks to Yuji, whose body became familiar with the skill due to his status as Sukuna's vessel. Okkotsu barely used it, as it consumed a huge amount of cursed energy, but it allowed him to seriously injure Ryomen during the final battle.
