When I first heard that Palworld was getting their own card game, I wasn't quite sure what to think. The very popular monster collecting video game seems like a good fit for it though, and I have plenty of room on my table next to my collection of TCGs. When I was offered the chance to take a more detailed look, I was excited to see how the gun-toting, survival-focused experience could be brought to the competitive card game scene.
After getting my hands on a few decks and giving things a few rounds with local friends, I'm happy to report that a genuine contender has entered the ring, and whether you're primarily a Palworld aficionado, or mainly just a die-hard TCG vet, there's plenty here to enjoy. Palworld's OFFICIAL CARD GAME has five main card types: Pals, Gears, Events, Structures and Souls. The first four combine in your deck, while Souls are their own side decks.
Fun times with lots of friends
Combat is often front-and-center in Palworld OFFICIAL CARD GAMES, but it is by no means the only aspect. That alone fascinates me, not least because it's a true reflection of Palworld itself – players also have to gather resources and prepare for a nice and sturdy base building. Echoes of the engaging crafting and survival mechanics of the main game abound.
Your deck, whether pre-assembled (as part of the “Dawn of Palpagos” test deck) or built from scratch, can contain up to two suits. If you roll with the sample decks, you have a choice between red and blue or green and purple. From there it's off to the infamous races, so enjoy tagging in Pals like the Relaxaurus and old-school weapons like a Single-Shot Rifle. The companions themselves include three key stats – cost, power and strike – and gorgeous artwork to accompany them.
You'll probably want to check out these demo games to get started. They really are the best way to get to know Palworld's official card game.
Now is the perfect time to play, as a Demo Caravan visits over 200 stores throughout July. If you can swing by one of these stores, you'll be able to grab a prototype deck, an accompanying deck case, a Chillet-filmed promo card, and Bushi Navi event style.
Check out a full-fledged demo video below and hop over to Palworld's OFFICIAL CARD GAME website for more information on the TCG that's shaking up 2026.
